first article of summer

Article posted July 26, 2006 at 06:09 AM GMT0 • comment (2) • Reads 6401

This is my first article of summer. I've already been to DC, Idaho and Camp Sealth. I'm still going to idaho one more time. In the future of this summer I'm going to california, soccer and gymnastics camp. I had two free weeks in a row.

If you didn't know that I was a vegeterian well I was, but now I eat turkey and salmon.

Awesome Wacky Summer Plans

Article posted June 14, 2006 at 10:44 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 955

I’m going to Washington D.C. I’m going Idaho, California, and maybe Portugal or N.Y. My dad is full Portugese. We probably won’t go to N.Y. If we were going to go we would go right after DC.

I’m also going to the zoo, library, and the park. I’ll be having lots of play dates with my friends Erin, Hannah, Danielle, and probably August.

I’ll also be going to camps like Camp Sealth (a overnight camp!), gymnastics camp, cheer leading camp, or maybe fashion camp. My mom says I can only go to 2 or 3 camps so I don’t know yet.

The Carnival!!!!!

Article posted June 12, 2006 at 06:16 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 954

The carnival was great. Every year we have a school has a carnival to raise money for the school. June 10, 2006 was the carnival. My baby sitter took my sister, her friend, my friend, and me. My babysitter’s mom worked at the carnival doing face paintings. My babysitter sold sodas while we ran around and went on rides. I got two face paintings.

Next Year...

Article posted June 2, 2006 at 05:45 PM GMT0 • comment (4) • Reads 1464

One day in class I asked, “what will happen to the blog next year?” He said we could write all summer until next year our blog will be saved in a folder so that his new class can have a blog. No more writing will be on our blog. It will be all in the past. How horrible can this get! At least the new kids will have a blog. So SAD!!

How we change in my class is not like most other classes. We have little strips of paper with each of our names on them in a can. Our teacher chooses a desk and draws one of the strip of paper then puts that person there and thatthey new desk. They have to move in.

Rules are you canget angry about your new partner. You also cango really loud yahoo! Go me! Go me!

The WASL

Article posted April 28, 2006 at 07:57 PM GMT0 • comment (2) • Reads 658

The WASL stands for Washington Assessment of Student Learning
Or I call it the WAFL. WAFL sands for Washington Assessment For Learning

Monday April 24, 2006 was the first day of the WASL. Today and tomorrow our class is doing the reading WASL. It wasnt hard at all, but I worried I wasnt going to finish in time.

Today Tuesday April 25, 2006 was the second day of the WASL. I wonder what they call it in Virginia? Maybe they call it the VASL. Maybe in N.Y they call it the NASL.

Today Wednesday April 26, 2006. We started the math WASL. IT wasnt hard at all! It was easier than the reading WASL. I finished before break time.

Today Thursday April 27, 2006 was the 4th day of the WASL. In the middle of WASL testing we get a snack break. The third graders only have to do the WASL for a week.

Today Friday April 28, 2006 was the last day of the WASL. We finished the math WASL today. Lucky for us we are done with it. The 4th and 5th graders have to take it next week too.

I think to make a blog comment you should have a link to your blog. Something good to say about their (the person) writing. Last but least who its from.

making Turkish Delight

Article posted March 16, 2006 at 04:08 PM GMT0 • comment (4) • Reads 724

One day in reading groups I had volunteered to make Turkish delight for our Narnia. That night my babysitter and I checked if we had everything. We didnt. We needed a lemon, some chopped nuts, and some galantine. Then we went to the store to get the stuff that we need.

Then we got home. We started to make the Turkish delight. We mixed up the galantine with some lemon juice and lemon zest.
We put some water in too.

After that we boiled some sugar and water together. After a little while we poured the lemon flavor into the sugarwater. We mixed it up.

Then we got a pan and poured chopped nuts into it so it covered the bottom.

We let it sit all night.
Then in the morning we cut it up in to pieces and sprinkled powder sugar on it.
Then we put it in a container for me to bring to school.
