 Outer Space Light goes really fast! Light goes at 186,000 mps. That’s 669,600,000 mph!!! That is around the Earth 7 times in 1 second. That is really fast! I know all of that because we are learning about outer space. It is really fun to learn about outer space. Alpha Centauri is a star. Did you know that Alpha Centauri is the next closest star to Earth? Well it is. At 18,000 mph it would take 158,500 years to reach Alpha Centauri. Now, the Sun is very interesting. My teacher told my class that the Sun is a star. I didn’t know that. I didn’t know that the Sun was a big ball of burning gas. Jupiter is the biggest planet compared to Pluto.
