In the book monster in my opinion Steve is innocent. He is innocent because when he was smaller he wanted to be a super hero. He wanted to go out their and help people with their problems. He also wasn’t in a gang that says a lot because the majority of the people who kill are people who are in gang. When the incident happened he had gone to the store to get some mints. The guy that was afraid of Bobo said that he was pushed to participate with the robbery so it was probably Bobo.
