At Cispus my grade and I would go on hikes, it was for all the 6th graders in my school and my grade went on a couple of hikes like we hiked to Angel falls which was very steep and was kind of long and some went on a hike to a pond and others like my group and I went to Yellow Jacket Creek. We also split up into groups and we name our groups my group was called the Tree hugging mountain slugs. We had contests but the most fun is we had to put on a play and porform it on a stage. We also had to do something called the challenge course and it tought us to trust the people in our groups. There was also where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner and we would sit at a bunch of different tables with our groups and eat and we would earn beads for every good thing we would do and if we had manners at the tables where we ate. We would have cabins and there would be 2 big ones for the girls and 2 big ones for the boy and the counslers would get there own room in each cabin and they would be in charge. The teachers would get there own cabins so they would not have to be with the kids and there were showers and you were assigned to a cabin you could not pick which one you wanted to be in.
Thanks for reading my blog,
Taylor

cispus is fun like the hike to mt.st.helens
and the hike to the angel falls and to the pounds
because we have to walk all over the place. And you get to sleep in a cabins it is really cool and you get to play vollwball and play catch AND PLAY football and frizbee. And you get to have a grat time with a counselor and arly was the best counselor because she gave out the most baeds. And she was really nice to every buddy and she was grat at vollwball plus she loved to walk up and down hills. But at the same time she loved walking to but she gave us a good ideal of playing on the next top superhero it was really funny.

cispus 2009 was great! The food was wonderful, the hikes were alright and the bunk houses were awesome. My favorite thing to do was archery. it was a great experence but it can be dangerous so we were paying atention. when we started learning songs and little dances we had funn and i liked the group i was in so it made things a lot more fun. If we do spimple things like... pick up some garbage, helping up somone that may have fell or somthing like that you can get a bead and there were some people that got at least 20 or even more beads!

My cispus experience was GREAT. My favorite part of cispus was probably the campfire when everyone put on a skit. Another activity that i liked at Cispus was the angel falls hike. i liked it because at the end of the hike we all got to hang out on a bunch of logs and that was a lot of fun! those are some reasons why i thought i had a good Cispus experience!

Cispus was so fun!Doing all the hikes and activites! My favorite part of Cispus was the archery you would stand on a line and shoot the bow and arrrows and try to hit one of three targets.I didn't make any though, but had fun doing it anyway. There was a volley ball court by the cabins. When we got done with our activites, we were able to play volley ball, all we had to do is ask the teachers for the ball and we could play! I had a fun experience at Cispus.

Well I don't know what to say about Cispus. But I'll do the best I can.
On the day we got there I had the worst sore throat. Then to top things off, Mr.Meacham yelled: "O3 is going to angle falls"! Then I wasn't to happy. When we finely got to Angle falls it was like some guy was standing on top of a mountain somewhere poring a cup of water down it. Then when we got down the mountain it was time to eat. I was so happy it was dinner time. The food there was terrific. Then we went to our cabins for cabin time, my favorite.
So to make a long story short. Food: Good,
Beds: OK, Activities: Pretty fun.
So I had fun even though I was sick. I am glad I went to Cispus.

I loved Camp Cispus even if I didn't sleep well. I didn't sleep well because I was in one of the only beds that the streetlight shone on,I could see the light through my sleeping bag.
Apart from the sleeping part from my time was great. The food was fantastic, the hikes were easy for me atleast, the challenge course was
interesting, and the the bead ceremonies were odd.
I think that my favorite part was the callenge course.
My least favorite part was the bus rides they were really long.
That is the end of my conclusion.

At the begining of the school year the 6th graders went to Camp Cispus. When we were at Cispus we went to Mt. St. Helens for a day and did archery, the challenge which was really fun, pond hike which was interesting and more. When we accomplished stuff we got a beads. At Cispus my faverite things were archery because I got the highest score in the school (73) and the challenge course which I loved because it was really fun. My favorite hike was the spirit lake hike which was very cool because there is so many logs there that you could walk ont pretty far without geting wet.The food there was really good especially the rolls. The only boring part was the 4 hour long bus ride but it was worth it. If you have never been to Camp Cispus I would highly recomend it. By Dominic

Cispus is a field trip that Chimicum 6th grade kids go to. you stay there for about a week. But while you are staying there you have activities, hikes, breakfest, lunch, dinner. The hikes for Cispus are the angel falls hike and spirit lake hike. I consider them both difficult but the hardest hike there for me was Angel Falls! I know Angel Falls doesn't seem that hard to other people but it was harder for me than Spirit Lake. Actually what suprised me was that more people thought that Spirit Lake was more Harder than Angel Falls!!! Moving on to the Breakfest, Lunch, and Dinner. Well Every morning there would be a certain time that we would have to get up. I slept by my best friend at night. But we both had different groups. I had different groups with different people, but I had freinds in my group. every morning we would head outside looking at a volleyball court and almost all of the kids playing volleyball. Once it was breakfest me and my group would go to a large building with a bunch of tables on the left and a bunch of tables on the right. There was a space in between the lines of tables. Our school got all of the tables on the right and another school got the tables on the left. The same with Lunch and Dinner. Now Last But Not Least the activities. there was a place that you can have plays and contests and a campfire which was called the campfire and there was also the Bead Ceremony which was where you got to aern beads for doing something good and you also got to play games and sing songs at the bead ceremony. and my favorite was the campfire there were more but I cant name them all on the spot=http://=http://=http://=http://!!
WELL THANKS FOR REDING=http://!♥♥♥♥:)!

Cispus is one of the things that I will never forget.Cispus changed what I do at school, I have new friends and more people I can look up too.One of my faverit things I did at cispus was archery because it gave me a challange,I've never shot that kind of bow befor. My other faverit thing that I did at cispus was the bead cerimony because, everyone was together and we got to earn beads that represent somthing we did well at ,or helped someone, or something.

Cispus was so much fun!! The bus ride was about 4 hours and you only got abot 2 stops, but I had fun talking to my friends on the way there. As soon as you arrived you had an hour to unpack your bags, make your bed, and relax. Then you get together with your counselor and do whatever activitiy you had planned to do. Me and my group went on the Angel Falls Hike first. It was lots of fun! It took about a half an hour to get to Curtain Falls. It's called Curtain Falls because the waterfall is like a curtain because you stand behind it. It wish I had my disposable camera with me! Then it was the hard part. Half of the rest of the hike was either really steep uphill or really steep downhill. When you got there, it was just a trickle, but it was beautiful. Then we had dinner and did the evening activities and went to bed. the other activities I did were the Pond Hike, where we went on a short 30 minute hike, Challenge Course, where we worked together to solve problems, and we ended up balancing on a log in the air, swinging on a rope to a platform, holding on to a rope while tightrope walking between trees, being lifted up on to a platform 10 feet in the air, and climbing on a giant "spiderweb" over a river. We also went on a Mt. St. Helens Hike. It took about an hour and a half drive with one stop at Windy Ridge forlunch. I'll never forget climbing over 450 stairs to the top to see a spectacular view of Mt. St. Helens and Spirit Lake and then having to step all the way down again. When we finally got there, we took a 45 minute steep downhill hike to arrive at Spirit Lake. the whole lake was covered with logs from the Mt. St. Helens eruption that happened 29 years ago. Everyone had lots of fun hopping on the logs.
I will never forget Cispus. I Cispus!!

Cispus is a four day camp that CMS takes their 6th graders on every year! I loved Archery and the challange course! My least favorite was Mt. Saint helens hike! The Mt. Saint Helens hike was hard because coming back from spirit lake was up hill! We also did not get to have stew for lunch that day ! The reasons I liked Archery were I got to learn a new skill I hit the target and I did not hurt after it was over. The reasons I liked the Challange course were I got off ground and Mr. Meacham tought it to u my group. My favorite food we ate was turkey and mashed potatos and ham with cheesy potatos. I loved doing the skits also. Our skit was called 7 up I was a mom. I am glade my school is able to vist places like cispus and be able to see what nature is like. We had limited shower time and getting ready time so we couldnt be divas for a week but I was a huge one we I got home!! I can not wait till I am old enough to be a high school cispus counsler!!

I stayed at home! I had the flu and if i came you guys, you would all be contaminated all over! Well your asking "what did your POSSIBLY do there?" well i played a TON of games (it was well worth it for missing cispus and coughing on all of my 4 cats) and i also had to do a somwhat 8 page booklet of things that i had to do beacuse of missing cispus, there was a seprate packet with multipulacation and i groaned as i stared at it. Also i did some reading too (you DEFENITLY can NOT miss out on reading) and when i thought i was done i still had to do a poster of Mt. St. Helens and a little report about a places history and its geographical features (i spell geographical by my own lets hope i spelled it right >.<) and it was WENSDAY! So i told my dad i would work all day to get it finished and lukily i finished it by thursday! What a relif! Well that about covers it, see ya' next assinment!

I had lots of fun at sys bis. We got to hike. My favorite hike was angel falls because it was challenging. It was about 2 miles long it was also straight up almost. It was still fun.
The food was great at sys bus and it was so good i could almost have it every day.The cabins were nice, the only thing i don't like about them is the beds they were kind of uncomfortable. We had to do our journals they were easy but still the whole trip was fun.The bus ride took a whole 4 hours. My legs were so stiff. it was crazy but fun.

I always enjoy spending time with 6th graders at camp Cispus because it's so much fun! I've taken groups into the challenge course and have always loved seeing how groups deal with all the different challenges. Lately I've been taking groups on the ponds hike and either looking for insects at the YellowJacket pond or the YellowJacket Creek. We find different insects at each location and that is always a joy. When we're lucky and the roads allow us, and the weather is nice like this year, going to Windy Ridge, Meta Lake, and hiking down and back up to Spirit Lake at Mt. Saint Helens is just awesome! Check out these pictures.
