The Immigration Simulation

Article posted May 22, 2007 at 07:41 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 621

The immigration simulation was fun and realistic. I think the western students did a really good job as playing the part as the processors. It was exiting but a little scary because I didn't know if I was going to become a citizen of the United States or if I was going to get deported. Three people got deported. Only one of them knew it was coming. I almost got deported myself it was a good thing I had enough points. The processors were very rude and tough but that made it realistic.

Dear Sven
It has been so long and I am so exited to see you. I am coming to America but I am going to miss my home in Norway. I have to ride on a ship called the Rollo and it will be crowded and lots of people will be sick. I want to come to America because my children can be anything they want to be if they work hard and you can have freedom of speech.
When and if I get to America I won’t have anything have anywhere to go and that would be bad because if I don’t have anywhere to go then the officials might not let me into America. I have money and until I get on my feet is it ok if I stay at your place. I have money but not enough to afford rent. When I get a job I will be able to support myself and live on my own.
A job I am looking for is along the lines of government because I am really involved with politics.
I am comfortable with English but still a little shaky. It would be great if you could help me a little in learning English.
The money I have already will support me with food and clothing until I get a job. I am hoping to try the food you call a hotdog.
I hope I am not asking too much. I am looking forward to joining you in America.
Sincerely
Thor Heyeram.

Immigration

Article posted May 2, 2007 at 08:04 PM GMT0 • comment (4) • Reads 124

I think immigration is when someone or a group of people move to a place where they weren't born because they weren't being treated right and want more freedom. I like my character but at first I wanted an old man. I am 25 years old strong educated and very close to my parents. For the look of my character I should puff out my stomach and keep pictures of my mom and dad on my nametag.

What I got for Christmas

Article posted January 16, 2007 at 10:47 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 107

What I got for Christmas was just what I wanted. I got a air soft gun Extra clips, a play station2 and 5 games, a extremely rare game called hydro thunder, two wireless ps2 controllers and two wired controllers, 5 books, 4 pairs of underwear, a beanie that is reversible, a short wave radio, Christmas ornaments, an army men kit and last but not least a bubble gum making kit.
I liked all these things because they kind of fit with my personality. They fit with my personality because it is mostly about army and my dad says my first words were destruction but I think he was joking. Army is kind of my thing. And because my neighbors like the stuff and they are good at playing play station2 and they play with my stuff and I play with there stuff and we always have lots of fun.
But they are moving this summer so I can’t see them any more but I can e-mail them and right letters to them. And that is what I got for Christmas.

How to Make a Christmas

Article posted December 5, 2006 at 05:57 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 145

I think the school should add five extra minutes every day until the snow days are made up. Don't make it up on christmas break I mean it's Christmas, gosh! Wake up at 5 in the morning and open presents and then go to school at 6 for 30 hours and then come home and make up your sleep and sleep for 30 hours and two days later play with youir presents for 30 minuts and then go to school again.

flying squirrels

I am interested in flying squirrels because I want to learn how they fly and the way they live and their life.
I will be working with Ethan and dalton. We will be making a power point. We will measure the success by our progress.
