 Valentine The next morning she groaned. She didn’t want to go to school. She even lied to her Mom and told her she felt sick but her Mom said she didn’t believe it. “But they’re going to call me Valentine.” “You are going to have to face the music.” She groaned again and she started walking to school. When she got to school, she was late for class. But she didn’t mind. When she got in the class everybody was talking about Valentine’s Day. One of her friends said “Hey, Valentine.” “Stop!” yelled the girl. The class looked at her. Now she was embarrassed. At the end of the day, she noticed nobody called her Valentine, and she was glad. Maybe this isn’t that bad after all, she thought. Then she realized that she didn’t mind that her birthday was on Valentine’s Day and then she realized that was what made her special.
