The Easter Egg Once upon a time there was an Easter egg. But no one knew that there was a little bird in it. So, they colored the Easter egg and then gave it to the little girl. But of course, she didn’t know that there was a real baby chick in there. The egg looked like a plastic egg! So, to her surprise, it hatched! And it was yellow! It was yellow because the egg was yellow. So she yelled “Mommy! My egg hatched!” And then the mother yelled “Oh don’t be silly, sweetie!” And the little girl yelled “Oh yes it is!” “Okay,” said the mother “I believe you.” Then the little girl said, “Can we keep it?!” “I don’t know what your father would think about this, but, okay.” “Yea!”

“You said yes! Why did you say that?” By then it was dinner time and the little girl’s dad was furious. “I don’t believe it. You said yes?” “Now, now. I think it would be good for her to keep the baby chick. It would teach her responsibility.” “I guess it would be okay if you put it that way. But what are you naming it?” “Chirp Chirp!” said the girl.

And they lived happily ever after!

THE END!
