first of all i'd like to say thanks to Jody for making the class interesting with songs and stories that were a little different from the average class.    My favorite part about the class was the lyrics assingment.  My least favorite part of the class was all the english (but you can't really change that).       Saying that I do have a better appreciation for stories and song lyrics and how the wrighter uses words, sounds and images to get their point across.    I have not yet met my expections but hopefully by the end of the week i will have all my assingments handed in.     But as of now i did finish my blogs and that was one of my goals in the begining.

Something that I am excited about is that winter is coming. Now I relize that I am proble one of the only ones in this class thats excited about this, but before you skip on to the next blog think of all the good things that come with winter.    Like snow that is perfect for snow boarding, ski-ing, ski-dooing and snow ball fights.   With out winter you can't do any of these things.      Okay maybe thats not your thing how about ice fishing.   What better way to spend a sunday afternoon than getting drunk in a shack and having lots of laughs with good friends.      If none of these things interested you than to bad,  it's going to be a long winter for you haha.

For my essay asignment I choose to wright it on the job of a firefighter.    What the majority of the calls are and the tasks that must be preformed in order for firefighters to complete their jobs.   I am looking forward to digging into this becouse it is something that I am interested in and also something that I am hopeing to do one day as a carreer.    So i guesse you could say I am using this as my research project because it's something that i am going to do anyway and I think that it is something that i could make intreresting for the whole class.   The only part of this assingment that I along with many others out there i am sure are not looking forward to is the pressenting part of the assingment.  Hopefuly i will be able to drag it on for 15 minutes

I liked how the founder of wikapidia came up with the idea for it.   i also like the idea that the internet is a ''I want'' and all of that it was interesting and proble about the only time i actualy paid any attention

   thats a tough one there are so many good song lyrics out there but I think I would have to go with Bill Joel's  "I'd rather laugh with the siners than die with the saints".   I like this lyric becouse to me it reminds me to always keep moveing forward having fun rather than staying still looking back.

My current goal in this course is to complete my blogs!!   I have fallen behind on my blogs and comments and this is what I am currently working on.   Once I comlete my blogs and get all of them cought up I will work on the assingments that I am also behind on.  I am doing all of this to go to collage one day so I can hopefully become a firefighter and help other people.

For the first major assingnment I will have to spend as much time thinking about and plaining out the format of how I will complete this asingment.   The idea that i choose has choosin twice becouse after starting with the first two i realized that it would be to hard to get my point across and realate to the stories.   But the new idea I have seems to be working and i should have as much time as i need to complete it with the ling weekend coming up. Ya!

For me the first important part of preparing for a represention assingnment is pick a concept that I had a powerful thought about after reading.   The second thing I did was read over the prepaing for oral presentation work sheet that Jody gave us.   The third thing i did was spend some time thinking about how to make it interesting so that everyone would pay attention for my whole presentation.  I still have yet to present the brocher I did so the next things I think I will have to do is drink about five coups of coffee with about three shots of bailies each then when i present it think of everyone being naked........ on second thought maybe thats not such a good idea! 

For me the most important time for these skills to be used is at work "managing a small grocery store" and on the volunteer fire department that I am on.    When I am at work I have to ensure that employe's are doing their work correctly and customers are recieving good service.   On the fire department it is extremly important becouse it is the most dangerous perfeshion and the best way to prevent injury is threw analizing the situation and sometimes stopping and re-analizing.

It is important to learn these skills in school becouse it is a very valuable tool that can be used and benifited from in every aspect of life.

My first impreshion was that this was not your average school, classroom and bathroom location.   The first day went really well though, all the other students seem really nise and all have a common goal to better their lifes.

In order for me to be a succesful student I will have to apply myself and complete all assingments.   Also I will have to do a better job of completing my blogs!

For my wrighting variables assingment I choose NHL Lockout, Didn't we just have one.   The artical was originaly writen for an older crowed and I changed it to a letter to a little boy.  I chose this to help explain what was happening to any younger hockey fans for the 2012-2013 hockey season.  In order to do this I hade to simplify the message that the original artical explained.

My favorite band would have to be at the moment ''The Band''.    Two years ago at Folk Fest Levon Helm performed, it was a pretty awesome show.   Sadly Levon Helm passed away on april 19th this year of throat cancer at the age of 71.
