what i liked about this course would have to be that it was easyier then i thought it would be. also what i liked was everybody was nice and treated everyone with respect. what i hated about the course was probably having to wake up early everyday for it. i went from sleeping all day and working all night to going to bed at 2 or 3 in the morning and waking up at 7:30 or 8. what i have gained from this course is more knowledge then i had before. i wish we could have done more on lyrics. i think that the course meet my expectations. also i feel that i did meet the goals that i set for myself at the beginning of the course. i told myself i would do my work and try not to get behind and i have suceeded with that.

something that matters to me is hurricane sandy. this matters to me because parts of it are supposed to hit hamilton were all my family and friends are. alot of citys are taking this seriously which makes me worry for my family and friends more. today they are supposed to get 100mm of rain with up to 100km/h winds. it could cause floodings in hamilton and the GTA.

Effective planning is important to essay writing because it makes writing the actual essay alot easyier. The mor information you have collected in your planning the better your essay will be. It will have more information in it and you will also get a better mark for the planning part. Effective planning also gets you thinking more about your topic and opens your mind to the topic more. Effective planning can be used for pretty much anything in everyday life not just essays.

I didnt really hear anything new or interesting regarding evaluating sources and using the internet as a sourse of research. I already knew that any body can go on wikipedia's website and change any information about anything that is on there. It is really stupid if you ask me because alot of people use wikipedia as a website for research. Any body can mess up someones grade just by going on wikipedia and changing true information to false information just because they think its funny or they are bored. I think wikipedia should change it so that no one can go on and change information

My current goals for English Language Arts would have to be mainly to pass. Im trying my hardest to get a good grade in this class so it looks better when i go to college. I will reach these goals by always trying my hardest and making sure i get everything handed in. The skills i would like to work on our to prepare for further education. I will work on this by doing my best and going to college. The diplomna matters because without a highschool diploma you wont get very far in your future. You need it for pretty much almost any job.

I think this means that usually there is a rough road ahead before you make it to a calmer one. I picture someboady walking on broken glass towards a light. It make me think about what my future might hold for me. It doesnt really make me feel anything. My peice of language is "sucess comes in alot of ways, but its up to you to decide how you find it." iI choose this peice because its true. Everybody can have sucess in their life but its always different. Someone might think getting 100$ is succesful and another would think becoming president is. Sucess can be any where and anything.I find it interesting because nobody can tell if they will be succesful or not.

I am preparing for the major assignment by gathering specific information. I am also preparing by planning out how and what i will do for my assignment. I will approach this assignment with information and all my planning. I will make sure that this all meets the expectation of the assignment.I will make sure my idea is the best of my ability for the assignment.

I didnt really prepare for the oral presentation part of the assignment. I got stuck on the drawing part of it and I kind of forgot about the oral part. What I did to make sure that I was communicating my ideas clear and effective was making eye contract and speaking loud enough to be heard. If the person listening to you do your presentation can not hear you your ideas wont be clear or effective to them. I thought I could have done better is spend the same amount of time on the picture and on the oral part of the assignment.

I think you could use Critical thinking, Creative thinking, and constructive thinking could be used in a lot of different real life situations. You could mainly use it in school to aim and achieve a higher mark. You could also use these three steps at work. Critically think about what your task is. Creativly think about what you could do to help out when you are not busy. Construct a new way of advertiesing. I think the reasoning behind teaching and practicing these thinking skills in school is so that we can aim and achieve a better mark in class, or aim and achieve a better position at work.

The article that i used for my final text was the one about the NHL lockout. I changed the intended audience response of the text. It seemed like the article was meant for older audiences but the NHL has fans that are interested in the lockout that are of all ages. My final project ended up being a short article. I changed it from a newspaper article to a short article because the age group for mine is young kids and they would not really like to read a huge story. The language in my text has changed because i had to make alot of words dumbed down because younger kids might not understand what they mean. Most words are easy and simple to read and understand that is why i choose them.
