Eras Of Learning World Fair

I often wonder how history helped us learn lesions for the future. During the world fair you could tell a lot of the past has helped us learn our lesions on some things. This project was so fun, being able to choose what our project was about. For my project I chose to learn about Greek Mythology. I the most interesting part was learning about the gods and goddesses and how they changed the Greeks lives. I found out that the Greeks made plays to worship the Gods. Also the Olympics were made after a God won a chariot race so he made the Olympics in his honor. People had the coolest projects! I would have to say the most interesting part was learning about other people’s projects. When I was listening to people’s projects I learned about how women did their hair and what it meant. Also I learned about music and how much it means to people. Also about how much it changed the world.

Mandella Change

The past has a way of completely changing the future in good and bad ways. Hearing the quote from Nelson Mandella was one of those great changes that will never be forgotten. What he says is so powerful, and awesome that some people didn’t understand what the power meant. I think that education can get you wherever you want to go in life. After learning about Mandella we sent a postcard to whoever we wanted. I sent mine to the president of the United States, about gay marriage. I think he should keep the law unenforced. I support gay marriage and I’m glade he does too. People change the world every day, weather it’s saving the earth or saving people. There is change all around us.

Science has always been a fun subject to me. Learning about the human body is amazing to me, and the functions are just mind blowing too. A few weeks ago we played with raw chicken wings. It was just flat out gross. I had decided to not touch it or go near it. I respect life, but the sight of blood freaks me out a lot. I learned that animals are a lot like humans and the functions are very similar. I can’t wait to dissect the frog! No matter how gross it is, I’m still going to try to get over it and learn about the frog.

The end of the school year is always filled with fun things to look forward to, and make memories with. I remember last year when I went to Young Ameritown, I was a reporter in the news paper. As much fun as that was I look forward to I Town more. I applied to be a disc jockey, not only because I’m obsessed with music, but because I feel like I can understand it more than others. I feel I’m fit for the job because to me music isn't just a beat with the sound, but it’s like a whole other world. There is a new language, new meaning, and a new voice. I can understand the pain, excitement, terror, or just memories exploding your mind. I found out my job, and I work in the jewelry place. I’m proud of my position. I look very forward to next week and can’t hold in my excitement.

Over the past 100 years or so, the world has had some change, some with the better benefit, and others not so much. But I think most people have to agree one of the best big changes that happened, was giving african amaricans their rights and respect from us, that was a very big step in history! There was so meany little things that happened that lead up to that, but I think we can all agree the Little Rock Nine was a bigger change than we would think. Watching the movie about Ernest Green was touching to me. What the people did to them was so sad, and very unbearable. For kids to experience that is heart breaking and sad. If I was going to that school back then, I would be nice to them! I would sit with them at lunch. Even the smallest touch of affection to them then ment the world. I would do whatever I could to help them feel better. What they did was a big step. Switching schools to do that was very big. Yes, I would do it, but if the people were treating me like that I would fight back. Haha but I don't think I would tolerate people doing that to me. The girl who left to New York, well that is basically what I would do. She fought back and didn't let them hurt her. Today I would hope people would be treating the african americans better. But I know that there are a few people who won't change about their mind about them, it's sad really. At least more people care now.

Have you ever just listened to music all day? "Music is life," some people say. I agree with them. Music is my everything! It's what I listen to when I'm happy, sad, mad, or any free time I can! I listen to music from every waking moment to when I fall asleep. It's so increadable! It's everything's can ever ask for. So just a little tip, if you start talking to mean out music, nothing could take me away. I love all kinds of music! Rap, rock, screamo, r&b, slow songs, jass, oldies, country, and music that's French, Mexican, and Latin! So if your ever working hard, takes break, and listen to music.

During the summer is the time to do so much, and have fun and to try new things. A few summers ago I did. I did the most exotic things. I went on a cruis and one of the places we stoped at was Jamaica. It was so much fun there. I first I clkmbed their water falls. They were so big, and the water was cold (but it felt good) it was beautiful there, and I had so much fun. Later that day we got hungry, so before the ship had us bored to deport, we stoped to eat. And guess what I had….. iguana, yes, iguana. Most pople would say that that’s stupid, disgusting, and ridiculous. But it wasn’t it taste like chicken but so much better. Anyways the next day we got to go ziplining in Rohton, the sight was beautiful, and amazing. So sometimes to live your life you have to get out of your comfort zone, cause you have no idea what the road is up ahaead.

Cells are fun for some people,
but some people run from the teachings.
Lots happens in them, I didn’t know why,
until now my nucleus teacher shot me out of the sky.
As it was pouring rain I had to save myself from the wetness,
like a cell wall is my umbrella.
Cells keep me alive, cells keep you alive
But just remember as they arrive they multiply.
The Goligi body sounds funny I know,
But give it a chance and it will show, how important it is as is everything else.
This is the end where we say goodbye but just remember my cells are still alive.

Wiki Project

The last project that we did with our friends from PBMS on the wiki was kind of hard but fun. I think in many ways it was a good way to start to work with other people not just by talking to them face to face but buy working with them, and not knowing who they are. It was hard because of the lack of communication and participation. Next time to prevent it I am going to try to help more and understand more of what we have to do. But what did go well was the whole title page. It came out really well and we had some really good facts. I will do the same thing next time of making sure everyone understood what they were doing and trying to help as much as I could. I did try to look at the hand outs and pages before I asked for help. And they worked out very well. Next year, try to help them understand more of what they were doing and they are only do their part. Also communication is a huge thing for the project. I do feel like I was the main person in this but Maddie was also a great helper. Working with these other people was fun.

Bullying

Bullying has always been a very deep challenge and miserable habit to kids. It’s sad really. When we had the speaker Mark Brown, I do believe that the message sank in through very well, after the speech and school I saw lots of kids saying they were sorry and they became friends again. Although there are still some people who bully, I have seen a huge difference in the school all in all. We can do all we can to prevent bullying as much as we can but at least we are trying, but some people decide its ok to hurt people, but what they don’t realize is that it’s not ok. But some kids have a tough time in school or at home and that’s when makes them do it.

"Believe you can and you're halfway there."
I think that this means that sometimes people dont believe in themselfs and when you dont believe in yourself you wont go anywhere or do anything in life. Also I think that I could apply it to my life by believing that I can do more then I think.
Maybe that if we could help someone believe in themselfs more than they think then they could do a better job.If more kids my age believed in themselfs more then they could be a lot smarter. Because some kids just say "I dont know how to do this, so Im not going to." when things get hard, but if they tried to do it they could.

Greece Fun!

Greece is an amazing thing to learn about, it's very fun to understand what happened back in b.c. A lot has happened and I have learned so much. I think the most interesting part was learning about the wars, and what happened between Sparta and Athens. So far I have learned that Sparta has much more freedom to the women that the Athens gave to their women. Also i have learned that Sparta would take children when they were very young and help them, learn how to fight. There is still so much to learn but so far it is all very interesting to me.
With this Greek unit came fun, responsibility, and learning to work as a group. But mostly fun. In class's we have been doing a lot of fun and games. Some games we have done in the past are: the Olympic games where we arm restyled, thumb restyled, also we did push-ups, and sit ups. We have also had to make a building out of paper and make it stable with limited supplies. I really like doing the tung twisters we have to do. They are fun, and sometimes it's funny to see what people say when they mess up. One I am looking forward to is the debate. I hope I can dominate on that. I hope that kids after us can experience that great learning experience.

During the last billion years so much has been found out and understood. Although some stays unknown we have taken the facts that we have to figure it out. The way scientists have been figuring out everything thing has being very convincing. I do agree with the way scientists are thinking about the fossils and rocks ageing. I believe them because it makes sense to have an older rock on the bottom and then over millions of time for younger rocks to grow over the oldest. Fossils have been a very helpful use to scientists to help them figure out what happened in the Precambrian era. Fossils also are continuing to help the understanding of how humans were made. After learning a lot in this quarter I am agreeing with scientists and their ways of figuring out things.

Sports are really big things now of days and kids seem to be getting more involved as they get older. Over time I have played 3 sports soccer, volleyball, and basketball. I have been asking my friends what sport they play and if they are on a team. Some say "my team is the best volleyball team in the state." some others say "I don’t do sports they are dumb and useless." In my opinion kids seem to be losing interest in sports. Sport and fitness are a very big think in life to help you keep in health. My point is that I think the school should make each student try out for a sport of their choice one 1 a year.

I think that over time there is much more to realize what we have to be thankful for. Also as we get older we realize what we do need to be thankful for. I’m extremely thankful to have my parents/ family, the people who fight for our freedom, and friends. Although there are some rough sports in the road I’m still so glad that my parents and family do everything that they do now for me and the things in the future that they will do. M freedom is a big thing to me and I have never realized exactly what it meant until this year and how much it means to our world. Now I thank them more than ever for giving their life’s for us. Last I am go grateful for my friends. I know I have had a bad past but my friends have been there for me the whole time not judging me. They help me through thick and thin, give great advice, and make me feel better on a bad day. There is so much more to be thankful because there are endless things to be grateful for but these are just the beginning.

Mystery story

Mysterys have always been a favorite of mine to read. Out of all the storys I have read so far I think the "Black Cat" by Edger Allan Poe. I love the weirness in his storys that makes them so you cant stop reading them. Also when you get to the end you say “WHAT?! THAT’S IT?! THAT’S HOW IT ENDS?!”
Ok I might not have the best story ever but here we go for my mystery starter.
“I will kill it… I AM going to kill it before it kills me.” Those are the exact words I said to myself before all this happened, before I got here. But where is here…? Is this even a here? Or is it a there? I need to get out of here before I go crazy! Then kill it! I will kill it! THIS WONT BE THE END! Ok THINK Ross! Use that brain you might have. The last thing I can thing I can remember is Janie saying… OH NO JANIE! Where is she did that sick thing get to her?! Think Ross! What did she say?! Ok um.. I think she said “I have heard this song before.” And “ROSS HELP!”

Hey guys can you help me with this paragraph pleas it would be awesome can’t wait to hear your comments! Here it is:
“The world is cold the bold man take action have to react or get blown into fractions.” A Linkin Park quote again. I know it takes courage, faith, and a strong heart to go into war. Some go in for the first time and some come out for the last. For the ones that come home to their families, friends, and home I give you all my respect. I don’t know if people realize how a man or woman can change in war. One time, that’s all it takes, is one time to go in and never come out.

Lots of Political ads are driving not only me but other people crazy! There is lots of talk about who will win. Republican or Democratic? I don’t know my thoughts all I want it the best for this country. And to get everything back onto balance.

A few years ago I wasn’t the biggest reader ever. I first started getting into reading when I read the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. I read that and I realized how much I love books now. I recently just finished a book called First Comes Love by Katie Kacvinsky. Yes is sounds cheesy (and it was) but I am starting a new book now called Best Night of Your (Pathetic) Life by Tara Altebrando. Reading is one of my best hobbies and I know there will be more books for me to read in the future.

Feedom Of Speech

Freedom of speech is a big thing now of days. But banning books is like taking away that freedom. When I saw what book the people wanted to banned I was gaping! Some of the most popular books were wanted to be banned. I have no idea why they wanted to ban them. Our freedom of speech comes into this because when the authors are righting this they are making a story of their own. That is their freedom of speech the government has no right to bane their freedom of speech. Also if there is so much demand for this book they will be forced to keep the book. Of course we have a choice! There could be more demand for freedom of speech then there is for the demand to ban the book. If we speak loud enough the government would be over thrown and they would have to keep the book. Like for The Hunger Games, they wanted to kill that book, just because in the book, kids were killing each other. But look at what happened, it turned to be the biggest selling book ever. If you ban books, you could be banning one of the biggest books ever made.

Some people say love is hard, obnoxious, and unbearable. Others say love is perfect, and everything they have always wanted. But as we go through our life, our perspectives and theories change, during that time we eventually figure out the love is life. But even farther down the road no matter how far down you go, you will realize that life are friends, so when you’re going down the road your friends will be there to help you get back up the hill and try to figure out love again.

Today I had an amazing time at Fox Run Park! Thank you teachers for letting us go. It's was An great experience. I do have to say the best part of the day was all of it! Today was so much fun I can't pick just one thing I loved the most. I really enjoyed the water testing, and the animal/ resources games and my most favorite was the hide and go seek game with my math teacher. I thought the water testing was fun because of getting to go all around the water or up and down the stream to other pond. The animal/ resources game was fun because you had to find you match.... FAST! And my most favorite was the camouflage game, because you could go anywhere you want to and I love my freedom. Today I had learned that animal camouflage works really well. Also that when one year food, water, or shelter could be scares but in a few years it could go back to normal. That was a really fun time and trip to go on. I learned a lot and had much fun.

There are seven officers, and the chef only made twenty-eight doughnuts. Then if you want you need to split them up evenly, that means that each officer would get four donuts. Another way you could figure that out is by making twenty-eight dots, and then putting every dot in a box containing seven in a box, that would make four boxes. I do not believe you could use anymore numbers.

I have to admit something. I Rachael.... have scared my self in the mirror. But you don't know the whole story. So here's what happened. I was having an amazing sleep over with my best friend (in the whole world.) Well we were messing around and then decided to make each other look like zombies, with her make up. When we're both done we were TERRIFYING! After that, we wanted to go show off our beautiful-ness. Next thing I knew we were out by the street showing off your faces. People were looking at us and when they did we yelled out "Eyes on the road!" Then after a while later we went back inside (forgetting we had the make on still.) so when I passed by the mirror I got a glimps of me and I looked back, and when my vision cleared I saw ME! And I got terrified! I screamed! Then my friend came into to the room to see what was wrong. When she did the exact same thing! After we took it off we laughed it out the whole night.

This weekend has been so much fun! Yesterday was my lounging day... FUN! I was home alone while my dad, sis, and step-mom went to pick up our new car. The sad part is that they went to go visit my step-sis, and her boyfriend at the winery. But then later that day my dad, sister, step mom and I went to a barbecue! My sister drove us to their house. She is becoming a very good driver. When I got there I saw my good friend there! I was so excited. She convinced me to start going to youth group every wednesday, after school. It sounds like a lot of fun. Then today I had to mow the yard. When I went to go get the bag I tipped on something and I twisted my ankle. Darn it. Well that was my weekend how was yours?
