Mexico Towne

International Towne was very fun. It was a great experience. My job was being a customs agent, it was very cool. I got to make sure everyone had their passports when they came to Mexico. I remember having to be a peace keeper with my friend Victor. We went around arresting people who were committing crimes such as eating in the wrong counties, running, and resisting arrest. I also got to go to different counties and buy some food or cool little souvenirs with my money. If there was one thing I would change about International Towne, it would be the size of the countries. The counties were smaller than what I had expected. Overall though, it was a fun experience, and if I could go again, I definitely would.

The chicken wing dissection was very fun and educational. The wing itself was a little bloody, as was the inside. I thought it was very cool because we could open it and see its muscles and ligaments and a whole bunch of other things. It made me feel like I was a doctor for a little while as well. Overall it taught me about the function of some muscles and how gross animals are in the inside.

Paintball

Paintballing is one of my favorite hobbies. It is so fun to play. It always gets my adrenaline going every time I pick up my gun. When I’m in field I can stay in for hours to come. My favorite position is the sniper because it is so easy for me to run across the field, find a spot, and shoot my enemies from a distance and conserve my ammo. Usually when I play, my team and I usually play a death match, which means that you stay in until you are shot. I think that I am a really good player when I play paintball because of the fact I can stay in long and I can shoot up to 5 people in a blink of an eye. There is only one disadvantage to this hobby of mine, and that is getting shot in places that aren’t padded such as the hand, thigh, knee, and the neck. It might hurt, but it is worth it because it is so exciting.

I thought that my group did a great job at the project. We could have finished our poem on photo story and maybe communicated a little better. I also think that we could have put more effort into it by showing pictures and adding more useful facts about Rudyard Kipling and perhaps some information on the background of the poem “A Death Bed”. Some good things were the format of our page and trying to communicate if we ever had the time and leaving what we accomplished in our conversation box. The best thing I think we did was accomplishing all the things on the daily goal, well most of it at least.

Bullying is such a horrible thing. It is a weapon because sometimes it kills people. I thought our speaker was a great man who stopped a lot of bullying at our school. I thought all the things he said were a little sad to hear but at the same time good so we don’t make those mistakes. I like everything about him, especially that he was honest and that he made bullies realize their mistakes. I was very nice to those who I neglected; I admit I have been guilty of verbal bullying. He made me realize that we had to be more careful of our actions. I think that I also have seen good and bad things, but a little at a time I have seen great progression with the people who used to be bullies.

I really liked this quote. I think it means that if you believe in anything you can have it. I can really relate to this quote because a lot of things that have started off with me just dreaming about it, such as being with my father, came true with a little work. I believe this wise quote can change not just someone’s attitude, but also someone’s life because it gives them something to hold on to, something to dream about, something to believe in. This quote can strongly impact the world by giving so many people to keep dreaming for. It gives children in places like Haiti and Africa hope for food, people with cancer hope for a safe way to cure cancer, people on the streets hope for shelter, and people with family in the military hope that their loved ones will come back safe and sound. Those are the reasons I love this one quote, especially since it has taken an impact on me.

This quote is so very true, I would know because I have seen it first-hand. I think this quote means that in order to see a different side of a person, you need to learn to love who they truly are. I have many friends that I first saw as an enemy because of the way they acted, but know I can really appreciate who they are. This quote can show people how to love each other by just trying to get to know that person, just like the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. I do think this can take an impact on our world because it can show everyone to treat each other the exact same way.

My Biggest Goals

This year I hope to get good grades in all of my classes. In order to achieve this goal I have to get a tutor, get help, and do extra credit to be able to get at least over a B grade average after the second semester is done. I have to limit my time playing sports and doing other less important things than school. I have to put my mind to my goal by taking all of my classes seriously and putting all of my effort into home and schoolwork. I have to stick to this goal for a long time; I can’t stick with it for a week and just let it go like I usually do with all of my other things I “promise” to do. That is one of my biggest goals for 2013 and hopefully until the year 2026.
Extra Credit: This year one of my goals is to read more hope I hope I books. The ways to help me stick to this goal is by keeping a log of all the books I read and maybe writing a short summary right after. I need to take time off the computer, video games and other distracting things like that. I want to do this mainly because of the reason that I think that I do not read as often as I used to when I was in 5th or 6th grade. I honestly hope to hang on to this goal of mine for a while, because I know it will come in handy when I grow up.
