I kind of agree with Mandella, education is a powerful thing. But what you choice to learn is also a great power. Someone could learn who to make a bomb and then the bomb is a weapon that comes from the education. I sent my postcard to my singing teacher. She has changed my life so much I know that she can change many more. I just wanted her to know that she was a great person and she helped me and that she can help others.

I think that this year’s all school reads book is the best we have had. I didn’t really like last year’s book because it was boring and didn’t really relate to me. I guess I didn’t like it so much I can’t even remember the name of it. I like Hero for many reasons. One is I feel like I can relate to the part where it talks about stereotypes, because I have been stereotyped as one of the “dumb blondes”. I like everything about this book and have no dislikes other than Mr. Howard hasn’t given us our books.

One of My Best Field Trips!!!!

Our field trip to I-Towne was great! I had so much fun working in Greece. During on of my breaks, I had to retake my Passport photo which made me a little mad, but otherwise it was great. In Greece, we sold all of our goldfish bags, and all most all the fish ring pops. On the bus ride back I fell asleep how tired I was for working almost all day, but I was rudely awakened by someone screaming behind me. I would only change one thing and that is what I bought. I also learned that it is not easy to sell things, but it was fun trying. Over all this was one of my best field trips!

I hated this dissection! I was fine untill the silly little chicken wing started to bleed then I was done. My partner started to make the wing wave at me and I was not so happy.I learned that if you pull on one tendon the whole arm moved. When we were done I was all to happy to tell Mr. chicken wing good bye. I just can't wait to dissect something else!

The job I applied for was the Greek Freight Forwarder. I really want this job because I really like Greece and also I like bringing stuff to other places. I think I am the best candidate for this job because I am really good at getting things to other places. The other job I want the most is the Australian artisan. I think this is going to be a great experience in many ways. One is that we get to learn about other places in the world. Also, it will help with spending money and trading it. Finally it will be a great way to be responsible

The Little Rock Nine

The movie was made me very mad and sad that humans can be so mean to someone just because of their skin color, nationality, and more. If I was in that school I would have been nice to the Little Rock Nine and try to be their friend. I would try to fight back but I might get expelled before the end of the year. I think that the movie was a good movie to watch because the meaning and the story was very educational and showed how evil people can be, but also how nice others can be like when that lady helped one of the girls go home after being mobbed. Times now are different but some people still are mean to people because of the same reasons that people a decade ago. There are many examples of discrimination, one is that some kids bully others because they have a darker skin tone and also some business don’t let women or a person with a different skin color work there which is against the law but it still happens.

On Thursday, February 28, 2013 I went to the Opera at the Pikes Peak center. A lot of my friends were there, it was good to have so many faces I knew. When the opera started my friend Gia and I went to our seats. We had a little problem she feel in the seat in front of her and had to have a lot of help getting out. We took so many pictures before the opera started my phone ran out of space. There were three scenes in the opera the first was in the house of one of the main characters, the second was in the castle of the Russian prince who was having a party, and the final scene was in the jail which was the funniest scene. The whole opera was funny and fun to watch, but the line to the water fountain was so long. I can’t wait till next year’s opera!

The Most Beautiful Thing

”The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.”
Helen Keller
The most beautiful things cannot be seen or touched
But when you feel with your heart you can see so much
When you fallow your heart everything seems bright
You feel like a feather seemingly light
Everything is so beautiful all you can do is smile
After all of this don’t you want this to last a while?
At the end of the day we are in agreement
Just like Buda you have reached enlightenment

The Ice Festival

So this weekend my parents and I went to the Ice Festival in Cripple Creek. It was so fun, my friend Matthew and I got our names craved in ice. There was a maze and a slide. We also photo bombed people, but it was kind of mean after a while. We got Kettle Corn and some fresh fudge. There were many cool ice sculptures; they had the throne of Zeus, a chariot with flames, a huge Poseidon, lightning bolts (one fell of and Matthew picked it up and almost took it home), and some weird thing that look like a lot if worms but it might have been tentacles from a giant octopus or something, but my favorite sculpture was by the throne of Zeus, it was a bowl of grapes and Matthew pretended to eat them (it made a good picture). I can't wait to see next year’s Ice Festival.
