Postcard!

Article posted May 4, 2013 at 04:04 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 4

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
This is so true! I understand why he said it! He was in jail, he got out and used his education and wanted to become someone knowen for his good and powerful to change the way something about education. HE DID! If I could send this I would send it to President Obama. I would do this because he has alot of power. Sometimes he can't have that power. I am sure he knows this but as a re-fresher to say many kids don’t know this. I love this postcard! It has inspired me a lot.

Who's Your Hero?

Article posted April 25, 2013 at 03:19 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 41

I love reading Hero it is amazing! It is just about finding a hero in your life and I guess the steps to who to find them. We beg our teacher to keep reading because it is so good! Sean is just misunderstood and in his life. It’s not like I don’t know how that feels. No one gets it but there’s nothing you can do. I so agree with him when he sees his dad in the hospital, he doesn’t need him and I would have said the same thing. His mom has no right to beat him! Sean doesn’t help though with his life going to parties and things like that. I look forward to the next chapter every day!

Photojournalist?

Article posted April 25, 2013 at 03:10 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 3

I loved going to I towne! The biggest thing I learned was that you actions reflect you. The money part was a big thing! If we didn’t have the money table it would have required a lot of math. It still did, but not as much. The things I would change are the peace keeping and judges. I wanted to be one but they weren't on my list. Also how long the breaks are. On all of my breaks I was doing the things I needed to and never got to do something to eat or buy for me. I guess thats the way life works!

Chicken Enough?

Article posted April 12, 2013 at 12:37 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 8

I loved dissecting a chicken wing. My friends were scared to do it. I was left to do it alone while they were hiding behind me going ‘EW’, again not much help but it was cool and now when I eat chicken I think about that and smile. Not that I am happy about eating a poor little chicken but it jut reminds me of how close we are to dissecting a frog! I am so ready to do that. Not sure about my friends but I know I am! It isn’t really that gross. On the chicken wing we found out it was hard to pull back the skin because it was like glued to the wing but past that it was kinda easy.

I TOWNE!

Article posted April 12, 2013 at 12:29 AM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 45

I applied for a Photojournalist in Japan and a Greenhouse Attendant in Costa Rico. These are the reason why I would be good at these:
Greenhouse- I LOVE PLANTS! Since I could garden I planted flowers strawberries and green pepper, stuff like that. I have had a garden in spring and summer and some of fall but it doesn’t last long. I have had a green thumb for the longest time. My mom just kills plants when she touches them =) Most of our veggies are grown in my garden.
Photojournalist- One of my other hobbies is that I like to take pictures. We went on a hike in Arizona and they came out really, really good. I take pictures for my brothers playing baseball, of course. Right now I am putting together of us on our trips and playing our sports. My mom is pretty good with taking pictures but she doesn’t do it often. Just sad if you ask me.

Wiki Project!

Article posted March 12, 2013 at 02:37 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 47

It went very good overall. Alot of points I got stressed out and worried. In the end we didnt even do good, I was the only one who recorded. In our group we kinda missed alot of points and our conversations got confussing and we had to restart out page two times. It was cool to get to know people that I would miss at school or never see. Most of all it was fun to have people to help lift the weight and get work done even though in the end we didnt do it right but it was fun and stressful. The people in my group like 1D and I don't so it got very intresting at point when they brought them up. Overall I liked this project, not saying I want to do it again.

Little Rock Nine?

Article posted March 12, 2013 at 02:20 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 115

I think Ernest Green did the right thing. I mean they did have better education there. Something would get on my nerves and I would try to fight back. What they all did was man and horrible. They were afraid of change to let them in. I didn’t like the rule "Did a teacher see it?" none of them did so they the away people got away with it. With the discrimination going on in the world is just plain wrong. It isn’t about what you look like or color or race you are, people are people and they deserve to be treated right and the same way as others not to be separated. It makes me sad to think that happened. There is some today but not a lot. It isn't as bad as that situation most are mad and trying to make fun of or be mean. The movie was surprising to see and to know that happened.

Why Is Baseball Here?

Article posted March 12, 2013 at 02:11 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 68

So my family is big on basball. We have all played on a team. For my mom and I you might say "Did you do softball?" I am here to say "NO". I promise we did baseball. Anyway, so my brothers play and Marcus is the biggest one. I hate when a season ends because then we have millions of coach's calling the house asking if he can play with them next year. This year we started having practices in January!! Spring Break we are going to Arizonia to play a big tournament. We do small ones in pueblo but and we win most of them, I think we are ready. There are team coming from all over. I spend mmost of my time with having to do soomething with baseball. This is not a joke. My summer, try baseball. When they get a break we do stuff as a family but then it starts up to quickly! Like now!!

Quote Of Now And To Come

Article posted February 23, 2013 at 08:46 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 218

“What goes around comes around” (anonymous)
It is a very true quote. It has truth and some chose to ignore it and goes on to what they are doing.

You may think it is funny now
How you say or walk around
You may tease, laugh or play
It will come around one day
It doesn’t heal only break
Don’t make that mistake
It isn’t funny now
So just turn around and walk away and save it for another day
