Chicken wings

Article posted April 17, 2013 at 07:21 PM GMT-7 • comment • Reads 44

Well I was sick this day but it sounds like a blast! I think dissections sound fun and I have always wanted to do one. The chicken wings sound like they would be a good thing to dissect because of all the mussels and ligaments in it. I hope I am not sick on any other dissections and I can’t wait for the frog!

Believe in yourself

Article posted March 21, 2013 at 04:22 PM GMT-7 • comment • Reads 13

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy."

This poem really speaks to me because it is really inspirational. It helps me when i am down and it also speaks to me because it helps lift me up in sports.

My choice

Article posted March 17, 2013 at 11:15 AM GMT-7 • comment • Reads 56

For this blog I would like to talk about our lack of lunchtime. We only have a total of 20 minutes for lunch. Also we have no recess. This makes some kids scarf down all there food down just to go outside and hang out! Some kids don't even eat any food and just go outside! If we dropped five minutes off of our regular glasses it would make lunch 40 minutes and would solve many problems.

I'm a real "powerhouse"
That's real plain to see.
I break down food
to release energy
What am I... Mitochondria

or

I'm full of holes.
flexible and thin
i control what gets out
as well as what comes in
What am I? .... cell membrane

The wiki

Article posted February 7, 2013 at 01:33 PM GMT-7 • comment • Reads 60

I think that the group project did not go to well. It was hard to communicate since no one could be on at the same time. Our project did not go well because one of my partners did not go to the wiki in the last few days. It was not that fun working in a group this way and I think it would be easier to communicate if we could be together or in person. Like I said the communication was not great in this project for said reasons. A way this could be improved if you had us communicate thru Skype or some other program.

Mark Brown

Mark Brown was a very inspirational speaker and he has had many effects on most kids.

I thought the speaker last week was amazing! He was very funny but his message was even the best! I thought what he had to say was very nice and inspirational. He didn’t have an effect on me myself but once the assembly was over< many people were lined up to talk to him so it has changed many people in our school. I loved that he started out just telling jokes because I think that grabbed the crowd’s attention. I didn’t have anything I didn’t like about him though.

New Year!New Grades!

Article posted January 13, 2013 at 06:17 PM GMT-7 • comment • Reads 766

Last year was not the best year for grades...this year I plan to do much better with them. I plan to organize much better, and pay attention more often. I plan to organize by having a cleaner locker and a neater binder. I hope I can pay attention better in class by not talking much to my friends and listening to the teacher and take notes. But overall 2012 was a good year but I hope this one is the best!

Greek

We have learned a lot in the Greek simulation! We learned all about battles and battle formations. we also learned about each city state and there axis and allies! We all knew that SPARTA is the best from the state!

So far we have done many things! We do a lot of tongue twisters for extra points. We also have made Greek temples! We have also done a lot of Olympics! They are very fun to do and educational too because the Greeks invented them!

Geologic time

Article posted December 10, 2012 at 02:44 PM GMT-7 • comment • Reads 472

I do agree somewhat with what scientist say about geologic time scale. I do not believe that radioactive dating is what it is. I believe there is a flaw in it and it’s impossible to find exact date of something over millions of years old, there for I do not think the scale is very accurate.
