After reseachering philosophy in the middle ages, I found out that there were a lot of smart philosophers. Also, that the fall of Rome caused the Dark Ages. After the fall of Rome, in my opinion, the smartest people were clegerlies. They were the only people who know hpw to read and write. And not even all of them knew how to read and write! Not even the king knew how to write! But he knew how to read. But Charlemange wanted all his officials to be able to read and write. So he set up his castle as a school. Another thing that I learned was about the Gutenburg printing press. A hard thing that he had to figure out is what type of ink to use.
