One of the traditions in Germany I'll be talking about is the Christmas pickle. The Christmas pickle is a glass pickle ornament that is hidden inside the Christmas tree. It is the last ornament that is put on the Christmas tree. On the day for Christmas in Germany a game is played in which whoever finds the Christmas pickle first gets to open their presents first. In conclusion, the Christmas pickle is an unusual tradition that is in Germany though I think it sounds pretty cool because pickles are my favorite topping for a hamburger. 

The biome that I'm doing is the desert. Three organisms that live in the desert are cactus wrens, kit foxes, and mountain lions. An example of three plants that grow in the desert are cacti, mesqite, and creosote. 

I am Alex and what I learned when doing a part of the monster is that it is okay to ask for help! Also what I learned is that  I can still work on the part I'm working on even if it's very loud. Warm and cool comments encourage me to be a better builder on the part I'm building for the monster in the future.

Hello I'm Alex and I live in Bahama,NC and the part of the monster I will be talking about is the lips. The lip are going to have some  really CREEPY stitches on it and it will be gigantic and lopsided and also it's going to be pink and green with brown dots all over it! These ideas are from the Miriam school in Missouri and the monster's lips will probably connect to the head and mouth.  

Hi! My name is Alex and I'm doing wonder #714! The article I am doing is called "Why are They Called Lava Lamps?". Two interesting things I learned from this article are that lava lamps have a special type of wax in it, not lava. Another interesting thing about lava lamps is the science of liquid-motion lamps is easy to figure out but creating them is very difficult.

My wonder word is wax. Wax is a material when heated melts or expands depending on what it is contained in.
