The story of Chanukah is that a small group of Jews won a war against the Greeks.   The Jews were called the Macabees.   They were five brothers.   Their dad was the High Priest for the Temple . He killed a Jew that was worshiping Zeus,  a Greek god.  The Greeks did disrespectful things to the Temple.  When the Jews won the war, they cleaned the Temple and when they lit the menorah they thought that there was only enough oil for one day.  The oil lasted for eight days instead of one.  Today, we celebrate the miracle of the oil lasting for eight days as Chanukah.

In Israel, Chanukah is not a big holiday.  Families place chanukiot (menorahs for Chanukah) on shelves outside their doors to remind themselves and everyone that "A Great Miracle Happened Here".  In the United States, we light chanukiot and we get gifts unlike kids in Israel.  Some people put chanukiot on window sills and some people don't. 

On Chanukah, we eat gelt, which is just chocolate, and potato pancakes and jelly doughnuts and everything is very good.  I like the last night of Chanukah because all of the candles on the chanukiah are lit and it looks really pretty.

The name of my biome isthe deciduous forst.  Flyingsqurels donot fly they jump with there webed arms and legs.  Dogwood trees are in the deciduous forest because their leaves fall off when the temperature cools.  That makes them deciduous.  The Oven Bird does not live in an oven, it lives in the forest canopy.  it is very small.  I would not like to visit the deciduous forest because I live in it. 

I learned  how and what critical firend is. I learned to work as a team when working on a big project.Helping Mrs.Bercmen install the moster was fun and I learned thst you can help people finsh up on there part.

     I have the fingers and the moyth. The discription for the moyth is as big  as the head and in the shape of a cow. The discrption for the fingers is 3 on each hand  and tercoys sharks  8 inchs long with molths all biting  into a world. my materials are terqys paper,whight paper,glue, sisers,and satepels. 

HI I learnd how  scrath and sniff  works. Perfum companies put  it in magazines. It works by a process called microencapsulation which puts smell molecules in to littel balls that brake when you rub them they release the smell.
