Guess who was the first country to use glass ornaments as decorations. You guessed it Germany! But do you know who these ornaments are usually made by? Well if you didn't, they are made by local families and sold in winter markets. These markets also feature hundreds of booths that sell Christmas decorations, candy and gingerbread.
The tradition of the Christmas tree originated in Germany during the Middle Ages. In the artical... "The Christmas tree represents that tree of life. Tradition states that when St. Boniface was preaching among the German tribes, he cut down an Oak tree that was sacred to the Germans. As the tree fell it crushed all the other trees around it except a firtree. This fir, Boniface declared, was the tree of Christ and that is why it is associated with Christmas."
Germany has an unusual tradition is observed called the Christmas pickle. Accoring to the religions that do this the last ornament that is put on the tree, is the glass pickle. But you probaly don't know that, this ornament is hidden in the tree. The arctical also says that on Christmas morning, the first child who finds the pickle ornament receives an extra present.( I hope I would find the glass pickle!)

My biome is the tropical rain forest. It rains there almost every day. Three organisms that live their are... hercules beetles which are also called rhinoceros and unicorn beetles, and are among the largest beetles in the world. Another organism in the tropical rain forest is the cashew tree which has cashews hanging off the fruit.(cashews are a nut) The third organism is the army ants which have pinchers. (Army ants eat your flesh!) I would like to live in this biome because I would learn alot and I like the rain. But the down side is the army ants.

I learned alot about working together during the time we were making the monster these are three of them. The main thing would probably be to collaborate and work together. Another thing might be when you have a part that connects to someone else try to see how big you need to make something. I say this because I have the toe nails and I needed to know how big they needed to be so that they would fit on the toes. One last thing is to be aware of you are so you don't step on someone's part/s. I had a great time doing and learning things during this project, hope you did too!

My part/s on the monster are the teeth and the toe nails. The description of the teeth is weird, it's by Ms. Halbet's 3rd grade-J. Fithian Tatem Elemetary Haddonfeild, New Jersey. This is what they said "(4 in all) : 2 of the teeth are cone shaped, (2in wide, 3in long) moldy, butter-yellow with blue colored flecks, a hole in one of the teeth with a slimy spiderworm coming out. 2 of them are "J" shaped, (3in wide,9 in long)they are silver in color with a red-tip, they are ridged & jagged". I think the teeth will connect to the and the mouth. The description for the toe nails has not come in yet but I think they will connect to the toes. The desciption for the toes is going to come from Kimberly Brown's class at George Lee School, Saskatchewan, Canada.

The wonder I chose was "What Is an Optical Illusion?"#252. Have you ever looked at something and had to look again because your eyes seemed to play tricks on you?
If you have that must be an Optical Illusion. There are many types of Optical Illusions, here are some of them.
Paradox illusions
Physiological illusions
Distorting illusions "Illusion" comes from a Latin word, illudere. Illudere means “to mock.” The word I chose was "technique" my definition is your/a way of doing something.
