This blog is on Christmas in Croatia. Croatia is in Eastern Europe and this is how they celebrate Christmas. First of all Christmas trees are a relatively recent holiday tradition. Visitors will hear different carols, eat different foods and see different decorations in different regions. A traditional Christmas greeting in Croatia is: “Sretan Bozic.” In many parts of the country, Christmas celebrations begin on December 13 with St. Lucy’s day. Children in Croatia receive Christmas presents at many different times and from many different people.

The Desert

My biome is the desert. Some desert animals that I learned about are mountain lions, which are carnivorous animals and also a type of lion. Another animal is a roadrunner. A roadrunner is a small flightless bird that can run at about 20 mph. One of my favorite animals is the rattlesnake, a rattlesnake is a highly poisonus snake that can reach lengths of 6 feet. I would not like to visit the desert because there are lots of dangerous animals living there.

I have really learned a lot in project learning like how to critique. Also I've learned about warm and cool coments. To do good work you will sometimes need a team. I've had lots of fun doing project learning.

My monster parts are the fingers and the necklace.I have not gotten the necklace description yet. I got the fingers though and they are really weird. The description was sent in by Mr.Garret Ferguson's fourth grade class in New Hampshire. The description was 3 fingers on each hand , turquoise sharks eight inches long as fingers with open mouths , all sharks biting into one world. The descriptions are interesting so stay posted!

I chose the El Chupacabra, wonder #679. There have been [so called] sightings of the beast in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the U.S.A. It got it's name the Spanish words chupar ["to suck"] and cabra ["goat"].My vocabulary word is alleged meaning there is no proof.
