Hey there! According to what I heard Mrs. Berkman say on December 20th, 2012, you want to hear what I do for Christmas! Well, here it is. On Christmas Eve this year, we will probably just stay home and watch Christmans movies, and eat a yummy feast or something. On Christmas Day, we will get up and meet my parents in their room, sqeezing our eyes shut, not glimpsing at the presents until we're all together. Then we will open them and have a good time playing with our gifts! Thanks for listening/reading!

Holidays in Hungary

Hi, I'm doing my blog on Hungary. This place has some very interesting traditions. Such as, putting their boots outside their windows. See, instead of stockings, they put out boots. If they have been good, Mekulash (Santa) will bring them goodies like oranges, nuts, candy, and fruit. In Hungary, they decorate the tree right in Christmas Eve, never before that. I guess it's just the way they do things. They only light it after dinner and the gifts are exchanged. We decorate our tree as a family, but some parents there think it should be a surprise for children, who believe it was bought by angels. A lot of times, kids get books or small toys. When Mekulash visits, the bravest children sit on his lap and tell a poem or sing a song for him. Mekulash comes with one or two evil helpers. If the child has been bad, their boot will contain a switch with a small, creepy devil figure attached, which means a whipping is in order. Not many children are all good or all bad, so most of them just get the switch and the treat. I hope you learned a lot about Hungary holidays!

Hey! My biome is the desert. There isn't much plants there, but there are alot of cactuses. Did you know that cactuses have water inside of them? A few animals that live here are the mountain lion, the bat, the kangaroo mouse and the road runner. BEEP BEEP! I would not like to live here because it is hot and has little water. I would not survive for long.

Hey ya'll! My Monster Parts are the body and the cell phone. The body is pear shaped, green, furry, 1 meter long, sticky and sticked with bugs, lizards and snakes. The cell phone is made of diamonds,a flip phone,60 cm x 90 cm, rectangular, rough, dirty, monster flowers on top, slimy, smelly, heavy, covered in spider webs, and cracked screen. What a yucky phone! I am really exited about this project!

Wonderopolis Report

The wonder I chose for this report was "Do Cats Really Have Nine Lives?" You have probably heard that they do. Well, it's just a myth. Cats only have one life, just like us. A few people believe that the myth started because cats always land on their feet. People around the world beleive that cats have a different number of lives. Turkey beleives they have six, while some Spanish countrys beleive they have seven. This was wonder #264. my wonder words are "dexerity" and "proverb". I think dexerity means stealth, or hiding abilitys. Proverb might mean a saying.
