lou Why did so many people love and respect Lou Gehrig? Lou was thankful and nice to his fans. He supports his team when he was sick. Lou Gehrig never gave up. When Lou retired he worked with former prisoners. Then on Monday June 2, 1941 Lou Gehrig died he was thirty seven years old.
