We controlled the variables so we could have the same data. Some variables we controlled were the speed the block traveled, the surface type, the distance the block traveled, the weight, and what we measured in. ( newtons )

Measuring Friction Force

Friction force is measured by how much force the friction pulls against you when u are pulling something. Because we measured on a flat surface there was no other force but friction force. The force was measured by a spring scale pulling on a block and friction pulling against you in the opposite direction.

In 6.1 I learned that different surface types can effect frictional force. I also learned that some surface types can have a bigger affect on frictional force. In 6.2 I learned that more weight can cause more frictional force. In 6.3 i learned friction is what happens when you pull on something and frictional force pulls against you. I also learned that different surface area can change frictional force.

My name is devyn and this is my first blog. I am going to tell you 7 randome facts about me. 1 is i love sports i play football and basketball. 2 is i know alot of werthles things like i diamondback rattlesnakes strike can be up to 1/3 of there bodey length, and a gaboon vipers fengs can be 2 inches long, and a black mamba is the fastest snake in the world.
3 is I love to fish 4 is I like dirt bikeing although I'm not very good at it 5 is I love stake I will never get sick of it I can eat it all day every day 6 is fish stink 7 is I love to play football in the mud and in the snow.
