Please help your tamaiti read the oro and then the corresponding kupu. At the bottom of the flashcards there is 'choose a study mode" . Have a play with this and see what the tamariki can do to encourage reading skills.

This week we are learning about 'Kupu Tupou' (personal pronouns) in particular 'māua', 'kōrua', 'rāua' and the correct way to use these in our oral language and our writing. The children should read this story with a pakeke. Please ask them which kupu is the 'kupu tūpou' and as a continuation from last week's pukapuka, which kupu is the 'kupu mahi'. Kia pai te pānui :-)

We are learning to start our sentences with Capital letters and end our sentences with full stops. Here is a sample of some of our independent writing. Our writing is quite small so you might have to click on the pages to view full screen and you can turn the pages just like a real book!

This is in english but it serves to enlighten us about the direction learning is taking in the 21st century and why it is so important for our tamariki to know how to access and display information electronically. It's funny too so please have a look!
