Description: As a class we are still struggling to use capital letters correctly. Explain three different ways that we use capital letters and provide a sentence example of each.

Here 3 ways we can use capital letters:

The first way we use capital letters is at the beginning of sentences. E.g. Today I got to swim in the pool.

The second way we use capital letters is the first letter of a proper noun. E.g. Next week we're going on holiday to America.

The third way we can use capital letters is at the beginning of words in titles. E.g. 'The Boy Who Went to Mars'

Three ways to use capital letters:

At the start of a sentence.
Example: Yesterday I went to the park.

For a proper noun.
Example:This weekend I am going swimming with Alice.

At the start of speech.
Example: Ellie was walking towards me. “Hi Ellie” I shouted.

3 ways of using capital letters

1)we use capital letters in the start of a sentences.E.g Is that a turtle.

2)we use capital letters for people's name.E.g Is this John's turtle.

3)we use capital letters for titles. E.g 'Star Wars'.

There are Loads of ways we can use capital letter,but i am only going to talk about 4 ways of using capital letters.

The first way we can use capital letters in at the start of a sentence.
E.g. After school, my mum bought me some food!

The second way we can use capital letters is for a persons name.
E.g. My friend is called James.

The third way we can use capital letters is for the name of the place.
E.g. I go to a school called Oberthur Primary School.

Here are some (3) ways to use capital letters:
The first way is when you are writting sentences, you always start sentences with capital letters e.g
1) The cat sat on the mat.
The second way is for proper nouns.
2) Your cousin lives in Perth.
The third way is for titles
3) The Gruffalo

I know there are 3 important ways for us to use capital letters and here are the 3 ways:

The First way we can use capital letters is at the beginning of the word in a sentence. E.g. You should always prepare dinner for visitors.


The second way we can use capital letters is at the beginning of words in titles of movies or books E.g. "Men In Black III"

The third way we use capital letters is the first letter of a proper noun. E.g. The most famous singer in Maroon 5 is Adam Levine

There are three ways that you can use capital letters. They are:

The name of a person, place or specific thing (proper nouns). Eg. My name is Stephanie. I live in Australia.

The start of a sentence. Eg. The man was in a grumpy mood. The teddy bear was brown.

The title of something (books, movies, TV shows, event). Eg. 'Sculptures by the Sea'. 'Mary Poppins'.
