In the Holidays My family and I went to the Pukekohe Rec Centre for a swim on the first week of the school holidays.Everyone got ready and organised. We all then starting walking to the pools at 9:40am. But we first stopped at the countdown to get some yummy ingredients for our bun sandwiches and some delicious drinks in case we get thirsty. When we arrived at the Pools i saw Niko and his sister swimming in the big freezing pool. They was shouting out to me saying "KAYAH". So I quickly walked into the ladies changing rooms and got into my togs. They said that they have been at the pools for 2 hours. We stayed there for 3 hours because the water kept getting cold. After our swim we asked them if they want to walk back with us. They both replied with a yes. We walked up to the fields next to the pools and had our bun sandwiches, Niko and Chantelle had some too. Everything was getting boring after our food so we decided to go back home. When we arrived to my house I asked my mum if I can go for a walk with Niko and Chantelle. My mum said yes but be back after 7:00

*Maui dolphins are the world's smallest dolphin and is found only on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand and nowhere else in the world.

*The dolphins are known to live up to 20 years

*Females are not sexually mature until seven to nine years of age. They produce just one calf every two to four years, making population increase a very slow process.

*Maui's dolphin are generally found close to shore in groups or pods of several dolphins. They are often seen in water less than 20 metres deep but may also range further offshore.

The story is non-fiction

The story is about Geoff Fergusson a scientist who has invented non-toxic pest control systems.He was trying to attract whiteflys. So he decided to invent different ways of attracting the whiteflys by testing out different shapes of boards. One design trapped thousands of them in one minute.Once he got his idea straight he sold it as a product and advertised it in the newspapers and on television. His traps sold well and many countries made similar traps exactly like his but he did'nt mind at all. The End:

I Rate this article a 4 out of 5 because i found it enjoying to read because i can make my own traps by using this book to help me. This book was fun to read about.

I enjoyed looking at the pictures because the pictures explained heaps about the story.
