Well first I want to thank to GOD for giving me an opportunity of finishing this credit and graduating. I so much enjoyed this class; I loved every single subject we learned, lyrics to connection ideas, and of course essay and presentation. I feel these whole major assignments were not only assignments; it also shows you how to connect things, and to compere by thinking critically. I gained this 40S a lot of things, I feel that I improved my essay writing and formatting, because in grade 11 and 10 I wasn’t good at editing or revising, even though I am still not perfect for the editing part, however i improved a lot. I had always like finding ideas and connection to the world and myself. This course was mostly presented this way and gave me opportunity to practice those things further. I had so much fun while I was learned this class, the teacher is amazing, the students were nice, the way it design and the teacher's taught was also incredible. I couldn’t ask anything better than this, and I am so glad the fact I am graduating. I wish everybody very good future, and very relaxing summer including Jody..

My impressions of the class I believe stayed the same througout the class. I mostly did what I said I would do to try and pass the class, and I fell that I have gotten a good passing mark which means only 1 credit left until I am done school.

The course was very much the same as my initial impression, It was very relaxed but excellent pacing in the work load! You were a great teacher ! I had fun in the class and I ultimately I learned how to properly write an essay( although I still need to get better at it !). My goals were kind of interupted by my health issues, the doctors appointments have interfered with the class attendance, and being constantly sick is not particularily helpful. I however have tried my hardest to get my assignments in and keep up with the work.I really wish we could have done more on analyzing song lyrics , that was my favorite part just because I adore figuring out what songs may mean and that sorta thing! I really didn't like the essay writting only for the fact that it is my personal week spot in english.

The course met my expectations. I liked that music and lyrics were included in the course. It is something that everyone can relate to. The things I didn't not like about the course was the pressure behind presenting and the some what forced group discussions. I felt like the support was there when needed in this course, when I did not understand something, the help was there. I believe I have met the goals that I set for myself before entering this course. It has been a very long time since I have been in school. I never in the past put in any effort, and I feel a lot more confident now in my abilities to learn in a classroom.

In my first blog I stated that I thought this place was a better environment than high school; now that the course is just about over I still think that this has remained true. The main thing that I liked about this course is that we did work that has a more relative role in life, in high school when you have to do stuff like shakespear I just don't see how it will benefit my future; this course has given work that I feel can benefit my future.

i liked this l.a course, i liked the students amd the teacher. i didnt have a problem with the assignments, they were different. i just didnt like the presentation part even if it was just one on one, its something out of my comfort zone and i dont like doing it. but i knew i had to so i could get the credit to graduate. my only goal for this course was to pass by handing in all my work and i think i accomplished that.

I am very surprised with what I was capable to do and thanks to your help, I was constantly surprising myself. English has never been my strength since I'm very blunt and to the point so elaborating on things is never easy for me since I feel at a loss for words and plus being on the shy side doesn't help. I didn't have any complications in the course that weren't hard to overcome and for a little while I did feel a little overwhelmed trying to balance school and work but the assignments came at a good pace and were easy to understand. The assignment I liked the most was our first major project which was surprising since I hate essays but I love reading and I wish there was more of it but I know with such a condensed course, it would if been impossible to squeeze a novel study in. I went into this course being very nervous because of how previous English courses had been but I enjoyed your class very much! It had an awesome atmosphere and the assignments were put together very well as well.

I liked the essays that we had to do in the class as I have always liked essays and I tend to find them really easy. The only thing I kind of hated at first was the idea of doing the presentations for the music assignment. I have gained how to do more length in my assignments and to put more time and effort into them as some of them needed alot of work. I really didnt like anything enough to wish to do it more. I dont think that i have met my goals fully but I know that I have made what I needed to accomplish.

Well finally you ended the blogs. I HATE blogging; I find it to be a waste of my time and I have never saw the point in blogging in the first place but I guess it is one to their own. Though over all this course changed for the best because in the beginning it was boring and I just thought it was going to be exactly like in high school but Jody, props to you for making this class actually really fun! I enjoyed the group discussions and also the fact of meeting new people is always a bonus and a win at the same time. I also appologize for being rude and talking while you are talking and to everyone else that got disrupted by us "loud talkers" or whatever you guys were calling myself and my buds, so truly Jody you did an amazing job and you are a great teacher and should never lose that spirit that you have. So yea I have reached my goals and yes the course meet my expectations but I am also just one person just voicing my crazy loud mouth opinion. Thanks again Jody for the great time in this class =D.

I enjoyed the lyric project because music is something that can make a reflection on a persons life some music is not for everybody but there is always some out there that a person can relate to for sure. The research project I enjoyed doing because we are able to pick our own topic of what we would like to write about and learn more on the topic that we have chosen I think that was really grate to do. Jody you are a really grate teacher you do what you can to meet your students needs and your connection with people you do that really well I couldn't ask for better then that so thank you very much. I beleive my goals have been met because I am still hear and didn't quit sometimes I felt like I couldn't do this mosly because joggling home life and here was somewhat difficult for me but I have pushed myself even though I didn't want to be where I was at I got through it. I can't really say I hate anything about this chourse.

I liked the lyrics section because i enjoy writing them in my spare time and learning what other lyrics mean s othis on hit home.I didn't really like the presenting parts since i get really nervous infront of people so i didn't find it very amsing.I have gained more knowlodge about the subject and understanding the little things about it. I wish we would have explored poetry a little since there is a difference and i have an even easier time with that subject. This course did meet al my expectations and more tan that. I have met my goals but not to the point but in ways i have and i am ok with that...vauge yes but iti s how it is.

English this year went better than previous years. I liked having the class in a short period of time. Work we done in class wasn't to difficult to do, the teacher explained everything well and made sure everyone understood. Class was more lay back and more better of a learning environment than other years. There wasn't anything I disliked about the class.

My overall opinion of this course is a possitive one. I appreciated all the challenges that came along the way because I was really looking forward to re-connecting to writing, something I used to do alot of in highschool.I don't have anything negative to say about the course nor the way it was taught. An all around good experience except for the long drive.

I have really enjoyed this class and I honestly can't think of anything that I can criticize about it. Our teacher is down to earth and approachable which makes for a comfortable atmosphere. I always appreciate a teacher who is organized and structured, which Jody is. This class has raised my confidence in my writing which is something that I feel I lacked beforehand. In my first blog, I mentioned that I was most challenged by the fear of oral presentations. I particularily appreciate the option we had of choosing a smaller group or a one on one for the presentations. I am proud to say that I successfully overcame this fear and was able to present to the class. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish my classmates all the best in future and hope that all have a wonderful and safe summer. Play safe :)

It has been a great ride!! I have never had a teacher that possesses such a passion for the subject they teach. I find it is easier and more exciting to learn when there is substance to what we are being taught. The course went by so quickly, and in that, I learned A LOT about myself. This course was exactly what I needed to prove to myself that I could in fact be a good student again. My confidence has soared, and I thank you Jody, for that. I will move through my life now with my head held high, and the knowledge that I can accomplish ANYTHING I put my mind to. I have a renewed vigor for learning, and feel very well prepared for whatever hurdle is next in my journey. I hope Jody continues teaching, and that we cross paths some where in the future. I now know that anything is possible, as long as you have your head up, and your feet firmly on the ground. Thank you=http://

I feel that this class has met my expectations. English class has never been one of my favourites but I found this class to be engaging and a little more interesting than previous classes. I really enjoyed the amount of group discussion we had. I feel that it really helps me to hear other people ideas and input. I think my least favourite part of this class was the lyrics assignment. I don’t really like talking songs and analyzing them fully I just like listening to them and enjoying them how they are. Other than that it was a good English class and I think I met all of my goals in this class and got the grades that I wanted.

To point of no doubt beyond description, I did like every aspects of this course. Moreover, besides good feelings due to sattisfaction of various english needs I had, I sometimes felt so down due to so much school work in term of assignment but that is not to say in term of hate, it is just that it was overwhelming. No words can well express the extend of knowledge I have gained from this course in various english skills set. Although not an issue, I would have like to be exposed to some listening test through TOEFL(Test of English as Foreign Language) and of course my expections were satisfied beyond average. Although one can't be hundred percent sure about how much knowledge in each english skill version one have learnt, my core goals in taking this course were met.

compared to my first blog that i did, my opinions have changed big time because i thought that everyone would be just here to do thier work and not really be as talkative. But now i realize that everyone is class has good things about them and that we can all get along very good. One of the things that i will remember from this learing experience is that no matter how old you are, you are not "too old" or "too young" to finish up your highschool career. for my personal goals i think i have reached them all, just the one big thing i am missing... MY DIPLOMIA!!! :)
