Middle School the Worst Years of My Life

Middle School the Worst Years of My Life

One of the greatest books I have ever read is indubitably Middle School the Worst Years of My life. It is written by renowned author James Patterson, who also wrote the Maximum Ride series, and Chris Tibbets, who wrote The Viking. It is illustrated by Laura Park, a famed cartoonist and illustrator. This classic story focuses on a young boy named Rafe Khatchadorian, and his wild adventures and tomfoolery in and out of Middle School. As you may presume, Rafe has a vivid imagination. He trusts solely his mother, Jules and his best friend Leo (SPOILER ALERT! who is imaginary although we don’t find that out until afterward in the book).

Among the many that Rafe doesn’t trust, would be the nefarious Ms. Donatello also known as, the Dragon lady, Mrs. Ida Stricker, the vice principle of the school, and his insufferable and super-obnoxious younger sister, Georgia. Rafe also meets many new friends, and adversaries along the way. Such as the school bully Miller the Killer, who constantly torments Rafe, and Jeanne Galletta, Rafe’s massive crush. He also abhors his mother’s fiancé and his future stepfather Carl, also known as bear. I totally recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, or to anyone who likes comedy. This book is a stimulating escapade from start to finish. Middle School the Worst Years of My Life is undoubtedly an incredible book!

The Three Stooges

Article posted April 16, 2012 at 04:20 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 47

TheThree Stooges

Their name is the Three Stooges

And rightfully so

Violent, bad hair, and brainless

Larry, Moe, and Curly Joe

Eye poking, slapping, and barking

These guys are hardcore

When the show’s over

They leave you wanting more

Larry’s hair looks like chia pet fuzz

His hair weighs down his brain

That doesn’t mean he’s not awesome

Although his hair looks like a mane

Moe is the leader of the gang

The brains of the operation

With his eye poking and slapping

He is a bowl cut sensation!

Curly also known as Curly Joe

Is bald and feisty

He is a kind stooge

Why he barks is a mystery

When I would come home and watch their show

I would feel a warm glow

They’ve inspired me

I’m their number one Stoogie!

These three

Are like heroes to me

They’re the kings of comedy

It’s not hard to see!

Spiderman

Spiderman

My favorite super hero

Why wouldn’t he be?

He cracks jokes and gets the ladies

He is the super hero for me

His name is Peter Parker

He wears a spandex suit

He was bitten by a radioactive spider

Now he’s a total brute

That’s right, his spidey senses are tingling

He’s just that cool

He’s not like Batman

He doesn’t need any tool!

He spins a web any size

Catches thieves just like flies

Ok I won’t be that cliché

He is nothing but the truth no lies.

Picking up Spidey?

Shooting webs and Swinging like a pro

He’s untouchable

Come at me bro

The Green Goblin has nothing on him

He’s your friendly neighborhood Spiderman

He’s a part of the Avengers

He’s the man with the plan

Spiderman you’re my idol

I don’t know what I’d do without you

You’re a true super hero

I’ll always remember your red and blue

World War III

By Connor Good

Strident times are upon us. The world is exponentially disparate than it was numerous centuries ago. This is mainly because of the narcissistic and greedy behavior of the United States of America, and the merciless and savage behavior of Canada. That is how it all began.

The U.S.A had been on a warpath to say the least, Eradicating minor German cities with their advanced air force and superior navy. Germany was being irreparably damaged. They desperately tried to withstand the malicious attacks, but the U.S.A overwhelmed them. The U.S.A reigned supreme. However, once the onslaught was finished the entire continent of Europe revolted against America. Unfortunately for Europe, they were in the possession of enhanced nuclear weaponry

Europe decided to launch an intricate navy assault on the U.S.A. To their credit, their British navy is unparalleled by any other. They are truly superlative, although, the Americans utilized nuclear warfare to counter the British navy. The attack commenced and the Americans obliterated the British without much effort. Europe was stunned. A nuclear bomb had been dropped! Europe hastily dispatched yet another attack. Diverse from their previous offense, they used their air force. The equivalent result occurred. Europe quickly surrendered pleading for mercy. The land of opportunity seemed unstoppable.

Arrogant over their decisive victory, America announced that their current target is now Canada. The U.S.A. thought that Canada was a feeble and incompetent country, filled with cretins. Canada did not take kindly to America’s insolent remarks. They were on the brink of war. Shortly, the strife ensued. The U.S.A. bombarded eastern Canada without forgiveness. Canada maintained composure, and resisted the spiteful aggression. America was relentless. They pondered when or how they would exploit their prestigious nuclear bomb. America presumed that Canada was frail. They were incorrect.

After multitudinous raids the U.S.A. finally determined to employ their ultimate force immediately. They planned a facade for their foe. Their navy will distract the western battalions creating a diversion that will leave the west side completely unprotected, Leading Canada to its demise. The U.S.A. underestimated Canada’s intellect. The Canadians did not display anguish nor bother with America; instead they fortified their defenses and prepared for the brutality. Despite the fortifications, the U.S.A dropped the nuclear bomb. They regretted their decision.

Canada had a unique chemical called Zemo surrounding the country, which shielded them from nuclear bombs and artillery. Once the bomb was dropped it had no effect. America was flabbergasted at the outcome. Canada retaliated with tenacious attacks, and America promptly surrendered. Canada was a hero that day. Nations all across the globe respected Canada for its contribution. World War III was relinquished.

The Extraterrestrial Battle Part I

Article posted April 3, 2012 at 04:09 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 67

Planet Earth was left a desolate planet. They slaughtered most of our race. They were idiosyncratic, hideous beings. It is ambiguous now. We were feeble and incompetent. We fell under our own success. Our highest commanders have fallen, leaving no hope. The planet is at its end, unless, we take the ultimate stand. We shall fight for our freedom. This day we are no longer slaves. This day we will no longer be ineffectual. My name is Commander K, and this day we take back what is rightfully ours!

The outsiders have us contained in an unpretentious cell. My 4 comrades and I are formulating an intricate plan. There are outsiders everywhere, controlling our former world. The outsiders shepherding our cell were eyeing us intently. We just ignored them and their disgusting features. A few hours passed, (which seemed like minutes) and our plan was finalized. The two outsiders were perturbing to look at, however we would not be gazing at them much longer. Soon we shall escape with ease. These outsiders will soon perish, not to their knowledge of course. It is but a matter of time. The fate of humanity resides with us.

For our preparation to be successful, we needed to distract the two swine.

“Hey fatso, why don’t you be a good little peon and fetch us some nourishment?” Commander J asked. The guard snorted and departed. My comrade then started coughing vociferously, almost choking.

“Hey bozo, can’t you see he’s choking here? Get some water pronto”! The guard dashed off for the water. “That should bide us some time,” whispered Commander A. While we were escorted into this vicinity, I snatched one of the guard’s blasters. Such a fool he was. It was such an inimitable blaster. It aroused my attention. I had no time to inspect it however, as the plan was underway.

There were no windows, only jail bars and a wintry concrete floor. So if we couldn’t go around or straight through, we decided to do something completely clichéd. We went beneath. To excavate in this cell was a daunting task. We didn’t have the proper paraphernalia and even if we did, it would still not be straightforward. However, Commander C, being the intellectual prodigy that he is, discovered something crucial to our escape. He found four hollow spaces in the concrete floor!

“If we jump down on the four hollow spaces together - simultaneously, the floor should crumble beneath us”! exclaimed Commander C.

“How does that aid us genius”? Commander J asked.

“Well, according to my previous research if the floor crumbles we should be in the undisclosed tunnel for the rebel coalition”. Commander C replied.

“Where will this tunnel lead us”? Commander S asked.

“Home”. Commander C replied.

As we travelled along the seemingly boundless path, we discerned some bloody, decaying, corpses. The resistance appeared to have failed. It was a gruesome sight. The outsiders’ vigor was no mere façade. When we return back home, we need to think of a battle strategy. THUMP THUMP THUMP.

“Uhhhh guys, we have company”. Said Commander S. Suddenly, two hulking outsiders appear! The two monstrosities ran straight for us! One of them slammed Commander J down with its powerful tail. Trying to resist, Commander J stabbed the creature with his machete. However, it didn’t seem to affect it. Commander C then jumped on the beast trying to mount it.

“SOMEBODY SHOOT THIS THING”! He yelled. Commander S took the call of action. He shot the outsider relentlessly. The creature laid there motionless, as orange blood splattered on the tunnel walls.

“Nice shooting”. Said Commander J.

“You know, you could’ve killed me”. Cried Commander C.

“I know”, Replied Commander S with a smug grin.

As we continued our journey back home we realized that this will be no cakewalk. It was never meant to be. We will form a new resistance. We will take down this extraterrestrial menace. No matter how many, no matter how powerful, we will prevail! I will stake my life on it.
