 Love is Cruel You never showed any signs of caring about me. I imagined myself giving you a note, And seeing you rip it up and rip up my heart at the same time. But we have a rivalry, You might hate me, But I don’t hate you. I tried to ignore how I felt. I tried to carry on, But I knew one day reality would come and slap me in the face. My heart broke when I realized I could never be with you. I acted, joked and laughed like normal, But when I saw you I broke down, knowing what I knew. You have no idea. I envy your innocence. I’m not just in pain. It’s like being cut open every day, I can’t understand how you fail to see the blood. Your life, your dreams, your hopes are mine. But not your love.
