In the beginning not all Romans were not equal the Plebeians had no say in the government. after the rebellion the Plebeians could elect officials called tribunes of the plebs. Later they gained the power to vote.

The Romans adopted Greek culture from the Etruscans. They also learned from the Greek colonists who settled in southern Italy and the islands of Sicily. Traders and Greeks who traveled to Rome also influenced the Romans.
