The importance of Alexandria was that is was a center for business and trade, also its double harbor was dominated by a huge lighthouse that was topped by a flame, this was very useful to the ships because it guided them safely into the port.

Alexander's upbrings affected his attitudes about Greek culture a lot because his father, King Philip was assassinated, Alexander was King after his father had died. Alexander became King at a young age, twenty he only got thirteen years on the throne then he also died.

What I know about Ancient Greece so far is that there are many Greek Gods that are known to be myths, they came from Greek Mythology.
