Tui Ridge

We went to Tui Ridge for camp on Thursday. We set up our beds and then got started on activities. It was awesome apart from the thunder storm because most outdoor activities got cancelled. We went into the gym and played games. There were a variety of games. I played indoor hockey. I then went rock climbing.
We played around in the gym and then I had a shower and went into the dining room for dinner. We had nachos with salad. It was yum and for desert we could have a banana cake or a chocolate cake. We went back to the gym and played. We had a milo and we could watch a movie or go back to our cabins. We decided to go back to our cabins. We played spotlight. That was fun! Mrs T told us stories and then we turnt the light off and told stories. Adele and Alexis faked they were going to sleep so I went to sleep. They woke me up in the morning by making loads of noise and having sleeping bag races. Tui Ridge is AWESOME!
I recommend that you should go to Tui Ridge. Climbing Kiwi was fun. I got to nine crates and fell off. Flying Fox was the best of all! I really want to go back when it is a fine day!

My highlights at school in 2012

In February the senior team went to Tui Ridge for the day. My mum and aunty Tara came. It was so cool! The activities Tui Ridge has is so fun and their gymnasium and fiel is huge!
This year the theme of our school show was Kiwiana. Room 12 performed I'm a maori boy by the jgeeks. I think our performance was the best. I will never forget that school show!
This year I attended GKP (Gifted Kids Programme.) There has been alot of challenges but they are fun challenges. Gifted Kids has helped me improve in my talents. I will never forget my time at GKP.

I participate in BMX.
I can hear the crowd cheering.
I can hear my fans screaming my name.
I can hear people clapping.
I feel anxious to get a medal.
I feel wind rushing past me.
I feel shakey.
I feel hungry for a medal.
I feel proud that I got this far.
I see loads of people.
I see Adele in 2nd place.
Finally my name was announced that I got bronze. I was over the moon. I achieved my goal!

I went to the snow with my sister,cousin,dad and Adele. It was a long drive but it was awesome. We went to the Whakapapa Ski fields. We went where nobody was. There were animal marks. We played around and went down slopes on the snowboard. We buried my cousin in the snow. It wasn't that cold it was a nice temperature.
After 2 and a half hours of playing in the snow we went to the car for lunch. While my sister, dad and cousin were at the car me and Adele went back with the boogie board. I went first I went down and my shoe came off I then went down a drop and into a rock. Adele went and she ended up next to a rock. I ran to her but fell over really hard. Adele went again and I fell over again. We went back to the car park. We drove back to Rotorua because we were tired we fell asleep.

Making piupiu by Destiny.

A piupiu is a Māori skirt worn when doing kapahaka.
Firstly we measured the string with our tuke.
Secondly we started to plait our strings.
After that we cut a piece of straw the size of our matikara. We threaded the string through the straw.
Next we cut pieces of straw the size of our konui. We threaded them through.
Then we put a knot at the bottom.
We put our piupiu pieces together to make a class piupiu.

Babooshka comes from planet Bubbles. Planet Bubbles is bubbly and cold. Planet Bubbles is small many aliens live on planet Bubbles.
Babooshka is very cuddly. Babooshka is squishy. Babooshka comes out of its house when its summer. Babooshka smells like grapes. It is red and purple. Babooshka feels squishy. It is easily hurt. Babooshka is always smiling. Babooshka has 3 big blue eyes but it can only see out of 2 eyes. Babooshka has 6 squishy arms.
Babooshka likes cuddling humans. Babooshka dislikes animals. It is really well behaved except for when animals are around.

Duffy and the best book in the world!

On Friday the 15th of June, Duffy theatre came to Malfroy. We went to the hall after lunch to watch the show. The main characters were Duffy, Scruffy and Marvel. Duffys key message is "It's cool to read and it's cool to achieve."
Scruffy was hilarious I liked him most.
Duffy and Scruffy were looking in a box before Duffy found Marvel. Marvel went on alot of adventures. The first person to read Marvel was Emmy. Emmy's dad brought Marvel from the book shop. Emmy had children and let her son Rocky read marvel. Rocky and Marvel went on a boat adventure. Marvel got donated to the library. Wiremu read Marvel they went to space.
I liked Scruffy, nearly everything he said was funny. I liked the Duffy show because it was funny.

One day I went up to space I met Heart Angel. Heart angel said "I am called Heart angel because I believe when you die you go to heaven you are near the stars. I watch upon earth, I also mean peace".
I became best friends with a constellation. I went back to Earth and told everybody about the Heart Angel I became so famous. I then died and went to heaven.
So many years passed by and me and the constellation story was still being told. Somebody wrote a story about it and in the library it was put under Myths & Legends.
Stories are still told about my heart angel today.

On Friday at 5:30pm I went to Adele's birthday. We ate lots of lollies and chips then we made our pizzas. Ruth put a marshmallow on her pizza. We talked for awhile then we put make-up on each other. We went outside to play spotlight in the dark but we ended up walking around on the street. We finally went inside and watched movies. I slept by Ruth but we put our mattresses together, we watched New Moon and then Eclipse. We want to sleep at 2:00am. We woke up and watched Twilight then we talked for awhile. Me and Georgia cooked pancakes for breakfast. Me and Ruth halved a burnt pancake. At 12:00 it was time togo home.

Firstly we designed what colours and what our animal was going to look like. Secondly we got clay and started making our animals, I made a penguin. A penguin comes from the classification Birds. Thirdly we finished the rest of our sheet.It was fun!
