I think over the years racism on non white people has changed drastically.

We see more colored people being recognized for their talent and hard work not their color.

Twenty years ago would we see a colored President? Obama is a mix of cultures black and white,

this shows that people are changing and are more excepting of visible minorities. Although people have changed a lot over the years unfortunately there will, and I think always be some form of racism throughout the world.    

Blog # 7

Marketing and advertizing companies that use this method I think is very creative.

Depending on what age the model, movie stars and athletes they use to advertize their product  this usually  targets a certain audience. This type of marketing is very creative when it comes to advertizing  their products and influencing us and on how we should look and dress a certain way to be excepted or fit in. For example the makeup industry always have models with perfect  beautiful faces   this method attracts buyers to buy their product we are all influenced one way or another by this.

I don’t think advertisements are all bad I personally like to know what’s available in the newest technologies and many other things. But I also think people need to use common sense you don’t need to buy everything you see.   

Something that makes me laugh.

 Is when people are having a conversation with themselves i find it very funny. I also laugh when it’s raining outside and the cars or bus splashes the people walking on the side walk. Funny movies with Jack Black and Jim Cary and many others make me laugh. My dogs they are so funny I have a Border Collie (Spotty)big dog and miniature Poodle-Maltese (Daisy) when we throw the ball she thinks she can outrun spotty its very funny to watch them together. Also in the mornings when we take breaks from English class, we girls have our girly talks and Marlon what a brave guy sits there and puts up with us. It’s very funny:)

When I use language I always think first about what I’m going to say.

This way I don’t use the wrong use of words. To not have others misinterpret what I want to say, I also have to write it out if I’m writing something. But it’s so interesting how I’m always learning new words all the time.   

I think making connections was a good one for the first assignment. As we can all relate whether we are in a marriage or have family and friends that are in a serious relationship. It was a hard assignment for me as we had to respond to the movie and on people comments on documentary. I worked really hard on this assignment and I’m sure it will make me better for the other ones to come.

I was happy with the result but I need to improve on my grammar.    

My strategies for reading everyday is I have to read with my daughter.

She brings books home for home work everyday both English and French.

She is in grade two and she has reads to me on a daily bases. I have to help her with the words shes having a hard time with and make sure she is understanding what she is reading to ensure she is getting better. I base my strategies on my daughter assessment at school when she tarted grade two she was at a level fifteen today she is level twenty one reading chapter books.   

This is Brazilian (Portuguese) music it is very popular in Europe and Jenefer Lopez used it in her new albom.
