Just by human nature, we as human beings tend to look at things that interest us. For example: if we see something exciting in the news, but it wouldn't be until the last segment of the news, are natural curiosity would make us want to wait for that last segment of news. Our curiosity is very important tool that keeps the reader/viewer interested and want to keep on top of the story. Now with out conflict involved in a story, we would loss interest very quickly and the reader/viewer will more than likely give up. Conflict is an important tool that is needed in any plot to succeed.

The theme to The Ninny, if you do not stand up for yourself, you will be taken for advantage. The governess was called in to talk about settling her pay. Then she found out that her boss had many deductions to take from her pay. As the boss explained the deductions Yulia Vasilyevna, became vary timid and she muttered her response once or twice but she never really defended herself. She never asked to see the bosses’ notes and took it as it was. Near the end of the story is where the moral of the story is explained. The boss acknowledged to her that he was playing a dirty trick on her and he would give all her pay to her. He tried to teach her a lesson by doing a dirty trick on her.

When reading I enjoy a lot of description. Description gives me a picture of what I’m reading and it keeps me interested. There are days when I enjoy straight to the point style of writing, but there are the days when I like the poetic style. Straight to the point style of writing is good for following instructions and while poetic writing is good for storytelling. I like to read informational and science fiction type genres. Informational writing is an excellent way to keep informed on new topic happenings or just learning something new. Science fiction gives me something to look forward to in the future. There are no certain topics that I look for, but It should catch my eye. I love to read fiction, but I do like to read non- fiction at times.

My idea of a short story, you could write about something you seen while you were out. It could be an accident you seen, or you saw a bill board that had a cool idea etc. When I write a short story, I will look for things that will catch my eye.
For example, the news has a lot that can be written about. Even though it is a short story, it should be interesting enough for the reader to keep reading and not want to give up.

My impressions of the class are excellent and far exceed my expectations. I have been here at McLeod Learning Centre for the past two weeks. After being here for a couple of weeks, I have found that I like the size of the building and the classes. Before coming to McLeod Learning Centre, I was very nervous about meeting the students and the teachers. Now that I’m here the students are awesome and the teachers are great at their jobs.
The work we have done already hasn’t been too hard, but I imagine it will get tougher over the next couple of months.
My goal over the next semester is to pass and I will devote myself to studying in the evenings and weekends.

Write about your favourite book, band or movie. Discuss why it is your favourite.
My favourite band of all times is Metallica. When I first heard Kirk Hammett play Master of Puppets, I knew they were my band. The style of playing was so unorthodox, I have never heard anything like it before. From screaming guitars to a classical style of playing. When I play guitar today, you can hear Kirk Hammett style of playing in my own guitar play.
