This article was about Apple's prominence in our daily lives. In the beginning of this century, Apple was not doing well, almost becoming bankrupt. But after Steve Jobs returned, the iPod and the iPad came about, and Apple became really successful. Recently, CNN conducted a survey, and found that 51% of US households have at least one Apple product. Very few companies have become so immersed into our lifestyles.
This article interested me because I use Apple products daily. I have an Apple laptop, an iPod and an iPhone. My father has an iPad. My whole family loves Apple products, and I know most people like Apple as well, but I never realized how strong Apple's presence is in our lives. This is relative to our class because we use Apple products. Our Media Center has Apple laptops. Several of the teachers in our school have Apple laptops. It's odd to wonder what our lives would be like without Apple products.

This article generally discussed how Best Buy's stock went down 8% recently. Before, the stock was doing better than expected, according to Thomson Reuters analysts. But after news spread that Best Buy was closing down several of their stores 50 of their big stores, the stock went down. Instead of having big stores as they do now, Best Buy is planning to open up 100 smaller, stand-alone stores. This would save the company about $800 million, by 2015.
This article interested me because I go to Best Buy for all my Technological needs. If I want to get a new laptop or some new headphones, I would first go to Best Buy. I am surprised and a little disappointed that Best Buy is closing down some of their stores. I hope that Best Buy doesn't close down the big store near me. This article also relates to our class, because our own hardware could have come from either Best Buy or their competitors.

Pandora

http://money.cnn.com/2012/03/07/markets/pandora/
This article gave a bried history about Pandora. Recently, Pandora's audience has been expanding, which should be good. But, Pandora has to pay an increasingly large amount of money in royalties. So, instead of making a profit, Pandora's shares have been stumbling. Unfortunately, they have a disappointing forecast for the future.
This article attracted me because I used to use Pandora for all my music, before iTunes. I didn't really like Pandora because it used to include random songs into my playlists and chosen songs. This article relates to our Computers class because in our class, we focus on using applications on the Internet, and Pandora is a sort of music application on computers.

Facebook Timeline is Mandatory for Brand Pages starting March 30

Starting March 30, all brand pages, like company or band pages, will have to convert to the Timeline. Recently, many people including myself, have converted to the Timeline. But, brand pages like bands or companies often would not convert to Timeline, because on the Timeline, those brand pages would have to completely redecorate. Brand pages won't be happy about it, but there's almost nothing any of us can do about it.
This article interested me because I recently switched my profile to Timeline. Personally, I like the Timeline better than the old Facebook layout, but many people do not. I think that it is not fair for Facebook to forcibly convert the Facebook layout into Timeline, but the writer was true in that we cannot do anything about it. This article relates to our class because Facebook is a social networking class that has evolved so much that part of it has become a storage device for our photos and documents. If our school administration allowed us to use Facebook in school, we could communicate with each other in a much more effective and efficient way.
