In Choosing a Sperm Donor, a Roll of the Genetic Dice
Sharine and Brian Ketchmar tried having a baby multiple times and failed. Soon they recieved a donated sperm and had a baby. It turns out though that their son had cystic fibrosis even though the sperm donater was said to have no harmful diseases. They were in complete shock, but it was not just them multiple households have recieved donated sperm and had a child with a disease. It just goes to show to pick wisely.
I was interested in this article because I could not believe that with our technology today that these diseases in donated sperm could not be caught.
