Shark Cartilage May Contain Toxin

Shark Cartilage May Contain Toxin

Shark Cartilage was used as a cancer preventative because sharks were believed to never have cancer. New studies have found that shark cartilage contains high levels of BMAA. This compound has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's disease. Sharks are also known to have high levels of mercury and cadmium.
