 Current Event Yaws a disease closely related to syphilis is emerging once again in the Tropics. A medicine called azithromycin, also known in the United States as Zithromax, is found to to treat Yaws and is just as effective as pencillin was towards the disease. This article caught my eye because this is a huge discovery for the disease Yaws and it could one day lead to the discovery of an even bigger and better cure for other diseases.
