I don't walk into Walmart and ask for a discount, so neither should anyone else. Attempting to lower a price of the cost of an item is tacky and unprofessional, and it is a slap in the face to the creator, who probably spent a lot of time on resources and creative thought to pull together what you've been presented. I would be severely uncomfortable if someone lowered the price of what we had previously agreed upon. In order to prevent situations like this, always set a contract before you begin to work on the project.
