We are a Yr 3 and 4 class and we live in an active volcano.... really! We love our city, with its geysers, mud pools, and thermal swimming. We love to find out about our country and the world, and are learning about blogging.

Dear Mum and Dad,
I'm hiding in a trench and I'm really scared. My friend was shot in the stomach by the Turks, and I nearly got shot.
That was a sad moment for me.
It isn't nice being in the war. I don't like living in trenches. I am uncomfortable and it's really muddy. I miss you so much.
For dinner we have bully beef stew and it is disgusting.
