1. My digital writing has improved, I now know how to better write so that other people will accually want to read what I write. I know how to use different digital tools to enhance my digital writing. I know when it is appropriate to use photos, graphics, animations, videos, ect. to enhance my writing. These tools keep the reader interested and involved, insted of just staring and reading the computer screen. They will be able to interact with the article they are reading.
2. I have 8 red dots, and 51 visitors. I got a visitor from New Zeland!
3. The Computer Design Project was the most helpful because it helped us learn how to make a presentation without alot of writing on the slides and not to read off of them. This project also helped us learn how to use many different programs on the computer and be able to research effectivly. The project also taught us how to be careful and smart with our money, so that we did not over spend in one area or another. Though this was not a focus point of the project, it is deffinatly a life skill that many teens need to learn.
The least successful project was the schedual presentations. I think that this project was the least successful becasue it did not teach us anything. Our school sheduals are so simple that there is no need to have to over explain it like this project asked us to. All that was really neccassary was just a simple picture of our scheduals, not a whole powerpoint.

I made an online portfolio of my school work. It has examples of my work and some information about me. I made a website on Weebly, I picked a design template that best shows my personality. I changed some of the colors to ones that I like. I had to decide how I wanted the layout to be, for example, what should be the main tabs at the top of the page, and what should be subpages.

In the digital age, we will be able to integrate video, text, graphics, and audio into our works. We can use these tools to help us create a new kind of article, one that you do not have to just read, you can use different senses. You can listen to a video, or maybe even have it read to you, you can watch a video, or a graphic to tell different parts of the article.
The article, "Snow Fall", uses video, text, graphics, and audio to enhance the story. The author, John Branch, uses videos to break up the text, animations as the title page, and picture slideshows to help tell the story.
This article is a perfect example of how writing will change in the digital age. There will be less actual text and more use of videos, graphics, and audio. We will be able to tell a story by using many different techniques and programs.

Our computer lab design self-grading sheet:
Presentation: 35 points
Mr. Schneider explianed that we were to not read off of the slides and write as little as possible on the slides. We wrote barely anything on our slides so we could not have read off of the slides like he had warned us not to.
Memo: 30 points
On our memo, Mr. Schnider had said to be more specific with what we said, and we went back to the memo and made this change.
Spreadsheet: 20 points
Our spreadsheet shows the exact cost down to the pennies, including shipping costs. We used formulas to do the math for us to ensure that there would be no human error in the calculations.
Drawing/Blogging: 10 points
We did all of the blogging that we were assigned, and we did it well. Our drawing of the room layout has everything that will be in the room, and we even showed each individual desk that will be in the room, and where the TV will be hung.
Total score: 95 points

Today in class, we have a new project where we have $50,000 to design a new multi use computer lab in my school. We have to budget for everything, we need 25 computers for the classroom and we need to buy everything from the desks and chairs, to the software for the computers.
I started my design and my partner and I, bought the items that we thought would be the best deal to ensure that we would stay under budget. But next time we work on it, we can now go back and find so more expensive items because we are so under budget.

In this app you can paint, draw, or scribble just with your fingers. There are 44,000 different colors, it is just like finger painting like when you were in pre-school. You can even use more than 1 finger! There are stamps that you can put in the picture, and when you place them there is a funny sound. There are many different drawing tools, perfect for anyone! If you aren't a good drawer, then you can undo your last stroke, or if you are more experienced, the different tools can be the best for you.
I think this is a great app and the best part is you can get a version of it for free! If you want the advertisement free version, then it still very cheap, only $0.99.

Meograph is a website where you can create a map to track different places. You can make a meograph of a concert, a cross-country road trip, or anything else you can think of. It is very easy to use, all you have to do is put the date, location, and a title for that slide.
I made a meograph of the 2012 Aerosmith concert, I included all of the arenas that they will be playing in and the places. On each slide I included a picture of the arena.

A freshman at the University of Missouri-Columbia, named Ankur Singh believes that standardized testing is getting in his way of exceeding his potential and being able to grow. He is going to create a video of students from all different backgrounds, of all different ages, and from all different parts of the country to see if they have the same opinion as he does. He wants to see if other students are facing the same problems as he is. He wants to tell the story of other students and how standardized testing has affected them.
I think that he is on the right step to making a change, it only takes one person to start a change. If he is successful with his video, then I think he will start something that will change the focus of many classes. I agree with what he is saying, I have never looked at standardized testing in this way. But now that it has been pointed out to me, I agree completely and it describes how I feel.
