Hi everybody. This is my summary blog post for the html project. This project was really challenging. I got stuck on some of the things like the Humpty Dumpty animation. I must have done that over at least four times because it wouldn't work. I really had fun creating the book on the iPad. I made mine about fun silly things to do during the summer. I liked drawing the pictures. I also completed the codeacademy portion and found it tedious because it took forever and the instructions were confusing. Unfortunately I was unable to complete the game and the show me portions. I ran out of time. That's it for now. Bye!!

Today we were assigned to create a website about how to create a bottle rocket. I think i did very well on my website. I created a link to this cool website that gives you instructions on how to build a rocket and its interactive. It also has easy to follow instructions and pictures to help explain the proccess. I've become quite good at making title pictures using Flash and fireworks. so i made a rocket ship soaring through the milky way. then i used the video Mr. Schneider created of his kids making a rocket launcher.

This project is a lot harder than I thought. The codeacademy lessons are really confusing and I don't get them. You try HTML Tutorial. I'm almost finished now. I just have to finish 1 more html tutorial and create a game. Almost there.

Today I started working on my animation of a fairy tale. I chose Humpty Dumpty as mine. I thought I would be able to do this but its really frustrating and complicated. I had to start over twice. Hopefully i'll figure it out by Friday.

I really like the ipad it has a nice big screen to make viewing the different programs easier. one of the programs that I really liked was the Six Strings guitar app. I felt so musically gifted when I was playing with it. It allows you to use different cords and everything. I really liked My Story. I made a little book about a pig in red rain boots. I also looked ant the Molecules app and discovered that you can use the iPad for stuff other than games. iTunes So you can get your own iPad.

1. Moline High School is located in Moline, IL 61265. its address is 3600 Avenue of the Cities. This is a link to Google Earth"
2. The nearest airport that flies to New York is in Peoria, IL. RFD is 69 miles away from Moline. There is the Quad City Airport in Moline but it doesn't provide flights to New York. This is a link to iFly.com
3. Mr. Bohnsack has about 20 cows. Hereford cows typically weigh in around 1400 lbs. So 1400x20 would be 28,000 lbs of cow total. That's a lot of cow :). If your interested in purchasing one of these fine cows here's a link to their website: Big Oak Farm

Their posts made me sign up for my own account on storybird. Its a lot of fun and a good way to create art you can share http://kidblog.org/MsJillsCrew11-12/Keenan52/monstrs/

He is absolutely insane. who in their right mind would go 44 days in a glass box without food for fun. Hes not a magician hes just manipulating his body into being able to withstand dangerous situations. He needs help if you want to get a tube shoved down your throat to see if you could do it then trying to breathe in liquid. I've seen him on tv when he went under water and he almost died.

Keith Barry said that the difference was that brain magic deals with manipulating the mind and phycological effects. Regular magic uses the power of words and linguistic deception and non-verbal communication it also may cause the illusion of having a sixth sense. I thought it was really freaky how he drrove the car through her eyes and how he does things that I would think are impossible.

When I went to use Flikr the site said it was under construction and Wikipedia didn't have any of the pictures I was looking for so I had to use Google. Sorry Mr. Schneider.I cropped the pictures I foud and made a scene in Fireworks so I guess I created my own image.I'm good at making links now I have the code memorized.I made my own image I used the lasso tool to cut out pictures and the paint tool to make a street and snow. I need to improve on getting thing done faster and not stressing about the little things.

I think its fine to wear pajamas to school. Maybe thats just what those people feel comfortable wearing. We are sitting down for the whole day pretty much, why not be comfortable doing it? What kid doesn't want to stay in their pajamas all day. And as for the slippers thats what Ugg boots are and we wear them everyday.

No but I do know people who are that lazy. I think its fun to try to run up an escalator it gives you the feeling that you are faster than you really are. The people in this video are just really stupid.

Yes I am prepared for that. I am fully aware of the consequences of what you say on the internet. Thats why I never tweet or post anything thats personal or has swears in it . It could come back to haunt me.

I think this site works because they already have all the movements programmed in. They just show you where to draw the different items . If you look closely the object you drew doesn't exactly match the movements. It keeps you on the page by creating a story thats fun and interactive.

1. I think life is anything that moves and breathes. The creatures do both of these so the way I look at it they are kind of alive. They breathe by using the wind to power their movement. Yes they don’t reproduce but as I learned in biology an animal does not need to reproduce in order to survive. They are created by man but so are we if you don’t think so retake freshmen health.
2. I would not succeed as a third world farmer. It took me two years to save 50 dollars and I had to sell my land to put toxins on it. My family died from disease and none of them were educated. It was hard even in game mode
3. I didn’t like this website it was hard to maneuver. I couldn’t figure out how to wallpaper the wall s right so there was one wall that was white and another that had a strip of color. It was very frustrating.
4. I liked the graphics on this site. I thought it was cool that if you waved the mouse over one of the buildings it told you how tall it was.
5. I liked this game it was fun. It wasn’t confusing at all and I liked seeing how all the gears moved together. I’m going to play this when I get home.
6. This game is really confusing and I didn’t really understand what I was supposed to be doing. I think this one tries to teach you the hardships that these people face every day and how they get through them.
7. What is the point of this game? I don’t understand how you switch lanes. It tries to teach you what will happen if you text and drive. It is a good game but just needs to be made a little better.
8. I liked this game it was interesting to see the dangers that these people face in their country and how they protect themselves from them.

1. I think that people with motor skills disabilities have the worst time with internet accessibility. Some of these people are unable to use a mouse which makes it almost impossible to navigate through a website. There is technology such as a mouse that can be moved using their eyes but how many people is that actually available to and if it is what if they can’t afford it.
2. Some ways a web designer can make their website more accessible are:
• Provide appropriate alternative text
• Provide headings for data tables
• Provide captions and transcripts for audio and video
3. Trying to get on the CNN website wasn’t so much frustrating as it was tedious. I had to keep pressing tabs until it highlighted the URL address and then I typed in the website. I could see how it could become frustrating after a while.
4. We have to make web browsing more accessible for those with disabilities. We have to think about their needs. People with disabilities just want to be treated like everyone else they don’t want to have to rely on other people to get through the day.

Dear Mrs. Goodrich,
Usually I use the school website to check my homework and find out what is going on in my classes. The website in my opinion is bias because it is all Seymour colors which gives the impression that it is for Seymour students eyes only. Edline so far has been an okay website but it shuts down a lot and almost always messes up the grade reports. Also a lot of teachers complain about it and how they have problems with posting the grades. The website is very organized and has a link for everything which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. But if you look at the SLA’s website it runs so much smoother. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Jessica Harkey
