Are they alive? 1.Are the the Jansen creatures alive? Why or why not? This is a really hard question to answer--what is life?
I think the Jansen creatures are not alive because the definition of life is (Life: the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation of the enviroment through changes originating internally.) These creatures do not grow, they do not have a metabolism. They do not reproduct, and do not have to power to adapt to the environment either.
•Review each game in a 3-4 sentence paragraph. What is the game, what is trying to teach you, and did it work?
•3rD World Farming: Can you succeed as a farmer?
-No I did not succeed as a farmer. This game is about making smart decisions on what to buy and how much you’ll make at the end and I did not succeed. I was negative at point, which meant I was in debt. Also, my family died because I did not do so well.
•3D Architecture: Can you build a successful house.
- This website did not work for me.
•Tall Buildings: Super-cool site about tall buildings
- This website tells me about the top 25 tallest buildings in the world from the smallest being #25 to the tallest being #1. You scroll your mouse on top of the number and it shows you an outline picture of the building with it’s name and information about it.
•Power Play:
-A game where you take different parts and try to build a machine to work for the task they give you. For example they want you to water the plant, you would use a pan to place on top of the fire. Then a machine to bring the water to the plants. It teaches you how to use one thing to lead to another to build a machine to overcome and achieve your task.
•Check out the Ayiti game.
-The point of this game is to have a family in the farm and have the 4 categories fulfilled. The categories are health, happiness, education, and money.
•Driven to Distraction don't crash!
-This is a game that you have to drive through the right tannel that is not blocked by a pole. Not only do you have to do that but you have to read the text messages that come up on your virtual phone on the right hand side. It teaches you how hard it is to text & drive but also how dangerous it is too. Not only can you crash but you can also hurt yourself too.
•And finally we will review the game Darfur is Dying.
-This game is about trying to get to the water. You can hide behind rocks/bushes etc when the military car comes. It teaches you hand-eye-coordination.

3.Do games help learning?
Yes they do. They help with hand-eye-coordination and they teach you how to accomplish things. Some games may be just for fun but there are a lot of educational games, or even normal games that have a purpose behind it to help you learn & achieve something. A lot of kids can learn a lot from games.
