Seussical Review

The actors in the play were the “Do it with class.” They were acting in the play Seussical The Musical. The play took place April 4th at the Conexus Art Center. The them of the play was based on most of his books like Honton Hears a Who, Horton Hatches an Egg and The Butter Battle.

The way they started off was with the cats hat in the middle of the stage. From there on Horton found a spec of dust that he could hear voices on .So he tried to protect it and everyone tried to take it away. Then they though it in to a patch of clovers. After that Gertrewd Mcfuzz grew a big feather and couldn’t fly. Gertrewd found the clover and Horton sat on an egg for Stacey. But then Stacey went on vacation. Then at the end of the story the egg hatchet and Horton, Gerterwd and the baby danced.
I didn’t mind the story I thought it could be a bit better but it was good. I thought it was pretty interesting. I also thought the script could be better but it was good.

I thought the actors were very, very good! The actors were definitely believable. I also thought the volume and the articulation was awesome. The movement and gestures did stay true to the character.

I think they definitely established the right mood and time period. I thought they did awesome with proper mood, emphasis and brightness. I like how they were dressed like humans and their characters. I liked how the elephant had a picture of an elephant on the back of the suit. Well I thought that the sound effects and music were amazing it felt like you were in the jungle most of the time. The orchestra was cool.

Yes for almost the whole thing the audience was paying attention. Some people were talking and screaming but not for the whole thing. Well I really thought it could be a little more clear but besides that I thought it was awesome.

What did you learn about pink shirt day that you didn't know before?

That there is a pink shirt day and that it is for bullying awareness.

Did you have any connections to anything you read today that you would like to share?

No I do not have a connection.

What do you think needs to be done in schools to stop bullying?

People can tell the people to stop and stand up for others if they're being picked on.

How do you think you can make a difference?

Tell people to stop and tell people to stop and stand up for others.

bubble because they are fun to POP!

math because it is boring!

Do you think that this has changed how you will speak/act on a daily basis?

No because I do not say the r-word to anyone at any time.

Do you think that this is an important movement?

Yes because it dose make lots of people sad and mad mostly people with disabilitys and there are probably tonse of other people that care.

What do you think you/our class could do to be a part of this movement in our school?

Our class can make posters and tell how important this is to kids and adults.

I am not ok with animal testing.
People do very bad things to animals some animals die during and after tests. Some think it is o.k because humans (us) are more important but it is not true. I think animal testing should be against the law.

People out there you should stop testing and use the products we already have. We can or should respect the animals we have because one day we may not have animals.

Which channel did you think was the most interesting?

I think that the most interesting video was the penguin video because they were there , they moved the most and I like penguins.

Did you see anything that was interesting or surprising?

No because I have seen penguins in real life and they did the same thing.

Why do you think they have chosen to document nature in this way?

Because it is fun to watch wild animals in their real habitat .

What benefits do you think this type of observation gives

I think the observation gives entertainment for people.

What do you think they are trying to learn more about?

I think they are trying to learn more about the way animals live in there natural habitat.

If you could set up a live fee any were in the world where would you put it and why ?

I would put it in Asia because I would be cool to see elephants and other animals there.

Based on the first few chapters,do you think you will like this book ? Explain why or why not.

1. Yes , because it sounds very interesting and it uses lots of repeating so you don't miss what he is saying.

) Describe how you might feel if you were in a similar situation to Brian. What do you think you would have done differently?

2. Same I would have drove the air plane and different I would jump out of the air plane over the lake and swam to shore.

3) Make some predictions about what will happen in upcoming chapters. Explain why you have made these specific predictions

I think more in to the chapters Brian will hunt for animals to eat and find a wolf that tries to eat him first. I think this because, in the last chapter Brian was hungry and didn't think anybody would find him for a few days. I also think the wolf will be in there because there is a wolf on the cover of the book.

) What do you notice about Gary Paulsen's writing style? Do you like his writing so far? What would you ask him if you had the opportunity to interview him?

Gray Paulsen's writing has a lot of repeating in it . yes because you don't miss a word he is thinking.I would ask him what inspired you or why you decided to do this story.
