On April 4th at the Conexus Art Center Do it with Class put on the play  ''Suessical'' 

The play had about five of Dr.Suess's stories. They were all thrown together to make this big giant amazing play!

I thought if the play had a couple more jokes it wouldn't make it boring. Because it got really serious when the kid '' died'' I thought at least. The rest of the play was really good though. You could hear the actors and actresses very well. My favorite character was Gertrude! She has an amazing voice. She fit the part very well also. She looked shy when she should. I don't know if it was because she just had stage fright or she just was right on with the gertrude thing. Anyway she did amazing!

The set was good. It wasn't how I thought though. You can't really get what I thought without going in a jungle though! The lights were good I guess. I didn't pay much attention to the lights though. The costumes were great! They kinda fit with the animal yet still looked human. I thought Horton could have had a better outfit though. I couldn't see the makeup from where I was sitting. But it was probably good! The sound was good. It got scratchy sometimes and it hurt people's ears.

The play was interesting and entertaining. You would just forget about the book and be grabbing onto your seat to want to hear the rest of the story. Other parts you'd laugh. It was just fun!

I thought the audience liked it. But I don't think they fell in love. I think they liked it. Some of the older kids may not have. But the younger ones sure did! I thought it was really good. Not great though. Some parts were tacky others were really good though.

Over all the play was MAGICAL!!!
