I chose the quote "Believe you can and your halfway there." by Theodore Roosevelt. I think it meant that you have to think you can, before you can.It would appliy to my life because i'm not doing so good right now on sleeping early, as of late, I have been going to bed at 11:00 p.m. I have been trying to change that but its not working out. Mabie this quote will change that. I belive it could motivate a person to do what has needed to be done. The government isn't doing so good and well, it doesn't seem like they are ever going to belive and if they belive they can change the economy, then america is saved and we may be able to pay back China to change the world.

"riding, riding" is an example of repetition and alliteration.
"sky and high" are examples of rhyme.
"kissed its waves" is an example of personification.
"He spurred like a madman." is an example of simile.

A change in time, a change in place
A change of jobs, a change of pace
change your style or change your friends
change your path and change the end
Chance for a 20, change for a 10
Change for the bus, 'Change please, friend'
A change of homes, a change of kin
A change of friends you never win
a change of schools, begin again
A change of age, a change of space
A change of morals, A change of rules
A change of sails, blowing you into the unknown
-Eathan Allen
This poem reminds me of the country song Dirt road anthem because of its rhythm. It reminds me of my life becouse, life is always changing, from my sister being nice or my sister being mean. Life is basicaly just people and things changing.

I think a poet would have such phyisical tools as a thesaurus, or a dictionary, but such tools aren't important to them. The ones that are important are such as the will to write a poem, literary elements to write a good tale, and more.

My most favorate character ever is Crispin, from the award winning book, Crispin: the Cross of Lead, by: Avi. I like this kid because I can relate to his personality. We both are kids that don't know much at all about this world and we all have had our struggles, (him more than me). And character I would hate most is Clove from the first hunger games book. She is very arrogant and she thinks she's "all that". I thaught it was funny how she died. Getting killed by a guy with a rock.
