Bullying is hurting someone physically or mentally. I have heard that bullying can be in many forms, such as teasing, hurting, or embarassing someone. If someone is a victim of bullying, the first thing they should do is tell an adult. As a student you can report bullying you see around campus so teachers can put a stop to it.

My book is called Flyte by Angie Sage. This book is like many of the other books I have read in that it portrays a child hero and it involves magic. I am enjoying this book so far and I would reccomend this book and all others in this series to anyone who likes adventure or magic. Yes I do agree with the characters because they are trying to save everyone, not just innocent people. This book is like my life because I like to practice magic tricks.

I picked the quote, "Believe you can and you're halfway there." I believe that this quote means that when doing anything, you have to believe you can do it in order to acheive what your doing. I can use this anytime I struggle with stuff like school. It could make a positive change to someone's attitude because it could inspire someone to keep trying. This saying could inspire everyone the world over to do ther best, even if they are struggling at anything in their life.

A change we need
A change I believe in
A change starting with me
A change starting with you
A change capable of changing the old rules
That change will modify
Our messed up world
If we believe in it
And start acting
On the little we can afford
To impact in it
That change is
Our real chance to grow,
That change is
Our quest to right all wrongs,
That change is
Our ability to stand united
And face our problems
That change is our opportunity
To prove critics wrong
That change is our legendary
For unborn generations
That change is us
Together we’ll better our world
Together we can,
Yes we can!
Adetimilehin Inioluwa Victor (VicAdex)
This poem is similar to another poem I read called "Changes". In both poems they are talking about changes, but in this poem it is talking about changes in the world and the other talked about changes in yourself. This poem relates to me because it is saying that I need to be the change in the world I want to see. This poem also says that everyone should help to change the world so that it's better for future generations.

In poetry some poets use all types of things that create effect in writing. They may use vivid imagery to paint a story or exaggeration to draw in readers. They may also write a poem that appeals to a certain portion of the public which will make that certain type of people read the poem.

Over the course of the year I have read many books. By far my favorite is Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. In the book the person I probably dislike the most would be Mr. Filch because he is always negative and assumes that if a person is standing near something bad that they did it. If I could change Mr. Filch's personality and make him a more positive person, I would probably not dislike him as much.
I do not think any of the characters represent any real people. I think that the character that can relate to the author the most is Harry Potter himself because he has had tough times but gotten through them, just as J.K. Rowling has.

For the test I mainly studied the vocabulary words for 1 hour and had my mom ask me random words or definitions and I had to give the correct word or definition. My plan if I had to do it all over again would be to study the vocabulary once I heard that we were going to have a test. This would net an A because if I was to study all of the words each night for 1 hour, every night for a week I would probably be able to recite every word and definition by heart.
