About the Book

I am reading Sarah Dessen the Truth About Forever. I am comparing it to The Red Pyramid. These are two very different books, The red Pyramid is all mythology and The Truth About Forever seems very real. I like the book so far, i haven't gotten very far into the book so ii can't really judge it. Again, i haven't gotten very far into the book so, i'm not really at the conflict yet. This book relates to me because like Macy, i am always bored during the sumer

Motivational Quote

Article posted February 2, 2012 at 09:04 PM GMT • comment • Reads 115

"Believe you can and your halfway there." Theodore Roosevelt.

I think Theodore Roosevelt means that if you want to earn things in life, you have to believe you can do it. If you don't, then you will lose all hope, and get bored with it and abandon what you want to accomplish. I could apply this in my life beacuse, i really want to make my state times in swimming, and if I don't believe that i can do it, I will just give up. It could be made to make a positive change in someone's life because, if they are down in the dumps, and not believing they can do it, then you can show them this quote and they will realize that they will never be able to achieve their goal without believing. Believing can make an impact on the world because if no one believes, no one would have a job, an the whole world would be in poverty.

Dare to Dream by Juie Anne Ford

Let nothing hold you back from
exploring your wildest fantasies,
wishes, and aspirations.
Don't be afraid to dream big
and to follow your dreams
wherever they may lead you.
Open your eyes to their beauty;
open your mind to their magic;
open your heart to their possibilities.

Dare to dream.
Whether they are in color
or in black and white,
whether they are big or small,
easily attainable or almost impossible,
look to your dreams,
and make them become reality.
Wishes and hopes are nothing
until you take the first step
towards making them something!

Dare to dream,
Because only by dreaming,
will you ever discover
who you are, what you want,
and what you can do.
Don't be afraid to take risks,
to become involved,
to make commitment.
Do whatever it takes to make
your dreams come true.
Always believe in miracles,
and always believe in you!

Text to text:
The little Engine that could is a great example, because the train knows that he cann do it if he just keeps trying.

Text to self:
I love to fream, and i love to think about what is ahead of me in my life. I dare to dream. And i dream BIG!!!

Text to World:
Everyone has a dream they want to follow! If they don't they don't really have a life because, that is what i do, i strive in life for something i dream for.

What About the Characters?

Article posted December 9, 2011 at 01:29 AM GMT • comment • Reads 117

I read The End by Lemony Snicket. My favorite character is Violet because, she is always so attentive, and she is always thinking of new things to invent. I despise Count Olaf because he is always trying to find a way to kill the Baudlaire orphans. If i could change his traits, i would make him a nice caring person who would try to help the Baudlaires out of there Unfortunate Events. I think Klaus represents a real person because, a lot of people are bookworms like him. I don't think Klaus' character really describes, or relates to who Lemony Snicket is.
