1) Bullying is a form of harassment. It is when someone intentionally hurts someone, physically or mentally.
2) I have seen kids get pushed around in the halls. I have also seen kids get made fun of because o their physical appearance.
3) A victim of bullying should hang out with a group of good friends and tell an adult.
4) Whenever I see bullying I could stand up for the victim or tell a teacher or counselor as soon as possible.

The book I am reading is the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I have not read any books like this although I was told it is similar to "The Lottery" where someone’s name is drawn out of all the names in town and the person chosen is stoned to death by the town.
I feel the books is very well written and descriptive. You have a clear picture in your mind of what is going on at all times. I would definitely recommend this book.
I agree with some actions. The main individual characters that you get to know make good choices but some that are like the government do not because they do the Huger Games.
This book relates to my life because the main character would do anything for her family as would I.

The quote I chose was "Believe you can and you're halfway there." Theodore Roosevelt. I think this means that you have to have confidence and that boosts you to trying harder. You have to believe you can do something or you won’t be able to do it.
I can apply this to my own life by setting goals I know I can achieve and working hard until I have reached them.
This could make and impact on the world by everyone believing in themselves. If everyone had confidence, who knows what an individual could achieve.

Change Upon Change by Elizabeth Barrett Browning
"Five months ago the stream did flow,
The lilies bloomed within the sedge,
And we were lingering to and fro,
Where none will track thee in this snow,
Along the stream, beside the hedge.
Ah, Sweet, be free to love and go!
For if I do not hear thy foot,
The frozen river is as mute,
The flowers have dried down to the root:
And why, since these be changed since May,
Shouldst thou change less than they.
And slow, slow as the winter snow
The tears have drifted to mine eyes;
And my poor cheeks, five months ago
Set blushing at thy praises so,
Put paleness on for a disguise.
Ah, Sweet, be free to praise and go!
For if my face is turned too pale,
It was thine oath that first did fail,
It was thy love proved false and frail,
And why, since these be changed enow,
Should I change less than thou.
Text to Text: This poem reminds me of a book I read when I was little, talking about how when a tree dies, it can give off seeds. The book was comparing the tree to a loved one who dies and how while their body is dead, their soal lives on."
Text to Text: This poem reminds me of a book I read when I was little, talking about how when a tree dies, it can give off seeds. The book was comparing the tree to a loved one who dies and says while their body is dead, their soul lives on.
Text to Self: This poem relates to me because it describes not only the change of things with seasons, but change people go through at certain times in their life that I notice.
Text to World: This poem had a global theme because it talks about through time, things change. It is talking about change with winter, but it is symbolic to people changing. It shows that things change whether you like it or not, it just depends on what goes on around you, that you might not even have control over.

This project went fairly well, the Wiki Discussion was efficient as far as everyone communicating. I didn't like working with a group because you can say very little through text and make sure the other person comprehends what you are saying. I think the overall collaboration of the page design worked well because the rules were tight and everyone wanted something unique, but to get a good grade. I would do everything the same because eventually it all worked out and tied together. Next year, I think going over the poem before grading on a personal interpretation would be fair because there was no way to get what my poem was about without reading a summary or directly what was intended. Also I think explaining the video in more detail and the program because I had a lot of stress until I realized how simple making a slide show of photos really is what the assignment is about.

Some tools writers may use are things like similes and metaphors to compare one thing to another that may have a better or more common emotional connection. Also using imagery can help people to illustrate the scene in their mind without using a picture. They can also put the poem into the shape of something like if it is a love poem into a heart or a depressing poem into the shape of a tear drop.

My favorite book that I have read over the past year is Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. There are no characters that I despise because the story is depressing and requires characters to lighten the mood. I think all of the characters represent real people because not only is it a realistic book but it had the typical family and school kids, just the main characters little brother has cancer. I think that the main character represents the author when he was younger because it is a typical boy that likes a girl, has a annoying little brother, and a typical family. I think this shows how the author acted when he was younger and how he handled situations that he encountered.
