*Bullying*

Bullying is any type of abuse to a person, whether physical or mental. Bullying can be beating someone up, or calling them names. I know that a lot of bullying goes on in our school, and I want to help, but sometimes the only thing you can do is tell a teacher. The victim of bullying should also tell someone. I try to tell someone when I see bullying accuring. If everyone did this, maybe there would be less bullying at our school.

*About the Book*

The book I am reading now is called Twilight. I want to compare it to The Hunger Games because they are both great books. One thing they have in common is that they have both been made into movies. I saw Twilight, but not The Hunger Games because it hasn,t come out yet. The characters on both are very different also. The Hunger Games is about the future and Twilight is about vampires.
I love my book because it is very well written. I would recommend it to anyone who liked the movies. I just started reading the books and I am already in love. I love the characters, but I don't always agree with their actions. Bella is in love with a vampire, and I don't know if I would do that. Other that that, all the characters are pretty smart.

"Believe you can and you're halfway there," is a quote by Theodore Roosevelt. I think that this means that if you believe in yourself, then you can achieve anything. I try to do this when things get tough, so I understand what it means. I wish more people would embrace this. I want to be able to tell this to someone and make them smile when they’re down. I think this quote really could. This could make a huge impact in the world! There are so many people who give up on things, and if they would only believe they could do it, they would accomplish it! I think that everyone should read this quote, and maybe it will affect their life in a positive way.

Visualizing

The Hunger Games is a very interesting book, but I didn’t expect any of the characters to look the way they do. I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ve seen the characters. The books say things like blonde hair with a duck tail sticking out of their tucked shirt. This is not what I imagined one of the characters to be like. None of the characters were exactly like I pictured them, but I still knew the characters when I saw them.

In Search of Challenge

The Challenge
By Dr. Heartsill Wilson
Blessed is the man, indeed,
Who in this life can find;
A purpose that can fill his days,
And goals to fill his mind!
The world is filled with little men
Content with where they are;
Not knowing joys success can bring,
No will to go that far!
Yet, in this world there is a need,
For men to lead the rest
To rise above the "average" life,
By giving of their best!
Would you be one, who dares to try,
When challenged by the task;
To rise to heights you've never seen,
Or is that too much to ask?
This is your day--a world to win
Great purpose to achieve;
Accept the challenge of your goals
And in yourself, believe!
You will be proud of what you've done,
When at the close of day;
You look back on your battles won,
Content, you came this way!
Text to Text- This poem is one of the more modern poems I have read in a long time. I can understand it better than Crossroads by: Matthew Bass.
Text to Self- I completely agree with what the author is saying especially the line that says, “Accept the challenge of your goals, And in yourself, believe!” I plan on living my life like this, believing in myself and accepting challenge. I have learned a lot from this poem, and I will try to take this with me through life.
Text to World- I think that everyone should read this poem because there are lots of people who need to get the message.

Our Project

I think that our projects were great. There were some things that we could have done better, but for the most part we did well. I had a great team, and we communicated pretty well with each other. The only problem was the block scheduling, but I bet that our schedule was annoying to them too. I don’t know if this arrangement can get any better, but it would have to relate to the people in a team. My experience with the Wikipage was great!

For my test I barely studied and I got a B. If I would have studied, I probably could have gotten an A. Next time I will study for at least 20 minutes to insure that I get an A.
This plan is better than not studying because I will better understand the material, and hopefully process it into memory. This way I will do way better on my test.
