The nine year old Caine, from the short video Caine's Arcade, and I show some similar characteristics. For example, Caine and I are both very creative. When I was younger I made a pretend campfire out of building blocks and I made a "tent" out of blankets. Caine is obviously creative because he made an entire arcade out of cardboard boxes! Next, Caine and I are both friendly people. Caine showed he is friendly in the video when he accepted everyone into his arcade and when he stayed out of his dad's hair all summer. I am friendly when I play with friends and take care of my dog. Third, Cain showed he is very patient and does not get discouraged easily because he waited all summer for customers at his arcade and he only got one. I am patient because I waited a long time with out complaining (much). This proves that Caine and I are alike in many ways.

I really do not enjoy eating out at restaurants, but I really like going to my grandma's house for dinner almost every Sunday night.  The food at my grandma's house is perfect for me.  We get to try new things all of the time!  Some of my favourite dinners are steak, pork tenderloin in a creamy sauce, and chicken wrapped in proscuitto.  All of my family gets together at the family table and we have lots of loud conversations.  It is super fun.  I love the fact that we get to serve ourselves and take as much of whatever we want, because there is always so much food.  I am glad to spend time with my family.  I enjoy their company.  The best place to eat is my grandma's house.

Luke would like to get his mum a cookbook for Christmas.  The book costs $27.00.  Luke has already saved $5.00.  If Luke earns $4.00 every 7 days and starts saving on Nov. 1st, how many weeks will it take to get enough money for the book?  What will the date be when he can buy it?  How much money will be left over?

Can you guess my Halloween costume with these clues? My first clue is that I wear gold jewlery and a tight white dress. My hair is a very important part of this costume. I have a gold headband with stips of tiny gold beads hanging off of it. My makeup is very precise. I have thick black eyebrows and black eyeliner. My final clue is that I have shoes that look like Gladiators. Can you guess it?

A person that is important to me is my grandma. My grandma is loving and very kind, with a funny personality. She also spoils me rotten by giving me sweet, chocolatey candy and letting me watch her huge flat-screen T.V.  The food she makes is delectable. She makes our dinner for us every Sunday night. Her dessert is sweet when it needs to be sweet and sour when it needs to be sour. That is why my grandma is important to me.
